The CONTINUED BATTLE for the SOUL of the NATION

@cristo71
Well said! The whole speech was just a siren song to lure in any voters with a bad memory. What a piece of work, pretending to defend the constitution in the same breath as taking our rights. His preaching on how they "reject political violence" after AntiFa and the "mostly peaceful" protests is rich. His assertion that anyone who questions the integrity of our voting system is an extremist is as authoritarian as he says Trump is ad nauseum. I mean, whose administration broke into whose house to confiscate documents? Who exastribated the pandemic with a mandate causing hundreds-thousands of businesses to close? Who is the one starting fights we cannot afford? You probably shouldn't answer "Biden" to any of those questions because he's just their puppet. Biden's a puppet, change my mind.

So, yes, there was a radical group of Muslims that were celebrating 9/11 called the Brothers of Revolution Muslims. There was a video on CNN about it even. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5BtQgTGOI4

"No, the bible specifically talks about the abominations of those who men who lay with another man (I suppose you argue lesbians are clear?) and how they ought to be put to death."

In the Bible abominations are things or practices abhorrent to Yahweh, and opposed to the ritual or moral requirements God set out in his law. So yes, a man /woman laying with another man /woman of the same sex is an abomination. However, the mere act of being attracted to a person of the same sex is not a sin unless it is lustful. The Bible says on many occasions the wages (or penalty) of sin is death. Not in the sense that they are to be put to death, but in the sense that they are to have lost their everlasting life unless they repent. In this text God speaks to all sinners:

"We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine" 1 Timothy 1:8-10

In some cases in the old testament, God may require that certain sinners or groups of unrighteous may be put to death, whereas here he is referring to their life after death. Regardless, God is just. His judgements are righteous. When he smites or brings death on a person or group it is not a permanent death. God doesn't merely kill the person, instead, they enter a new realm of existence.

Back to the issue at hand, the Bible speaks to sinners in 1 Corinthians, when it mentions that people who are ungodly will not inherit the kingdom of Heaven. Yet, through God's grace and forgiveness and through Jesus's sinless life and sacrifice, we may be sanctified and reborn as Christians.

"Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

God redeems us of our sinful ways and tells us to go and sin no more. All have fallen short of the glory of God, but through his mercy that we don't deserve, he has made us a child of the Holy God.

"When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
“No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”"  John 8:7-11

I pray that this gives you a clearer understanding of the scripture and the knowledge of God's mercy to all mankind. I pray you repent of your sin and accept Jesus Christ into your life. May God bless you and keep you. Amen.

"I read three lines
Thanks.
Thank you."

You're welcome. I highly recommend the whole thing, though!

"Why the big lecture WES."

It was as long as it needed to be to bring clarity on this often misrepresented issue.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see any substantive remark after this quote.

Have a good day, God bless!

Just to be clear here, God doesn't punish those who are attracted to the same sex, nor to those who are tempted by a women or man out of wedlock. However, God does punish those who act on sinful desires for they are ungodly and act against his will. To sin is to rebel against God. It is the act of rebellion that casts one into the Demonic places, not merely God's anger. Rather, God is completely just and all the saints and angels of heaven shout out, "Oh LORD, how righteous and good is your judgement!" For God will judge man for their inequities. All have fallen short of the glory of God and all are judged by his righteousness and found lacking. Therefore, all will be sent unto Hell on judgement day, unless they repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their LORD and accept his sacrifice in our place so that we may be seen as sons and daughters of the Holy God.

To summarize, the doctrine of the Bible never calls for murder of people "attracted to men", but those who act on their worldly desires. Regardless, all fall short and man should repent and accept the grace of God into their lives. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever should believe in him, shall not parish, but have everlasting life.

As others have mentioned here, the Bible stands opposed to murder. There are many in the church who have the same struggles of attraction as you do, as well as many who have other sinful desires. This isn't anything new. However, the idea in not causing harm to your fellow human and loving thy neighbor are rooted in this modern world via the Bible and Christendom. The ideas of equality and freedom are fundamentally Christian. The abolition of slavery, sexism, human sacrifice, and the pursuit of equity and charity were and are all Christian rooted movements.

May the LORD bless you and keep you! Amen.

Underrated artists
As far as underrated musical artists, I would have to go with the progressive rock band "Argent" lead by Rodney Terence "Rod" Argent the main writer for his prior band "Zombies". They had three UK Top 40 singles, "Hold Your Head Up", which reached number five and spent 12 weeks on the chart, "Tragedy" and "God Gave Rock and Roll to You". Their musicianship and creativity was exceptional and they were covered by Kiss and other relatively popular Latin fusion, classic rock, and glam rock bands. Many of their later albums are highly conceptual including "The Circus", "Nexus", and "In Deep". Here is a link to my personal favorite album of theirs -- their premier album "Argent".
