Are there any YouTube channels you've particularly enjoyed in the past or present, If so why?
Issac Arthur is a channel by the theoretical physicist Issac Arthur that discusses topics such as the philosophy and technology of futurism, the Fermi Paradox, current events in space exploration, and more. His episodes tend to be longer than the usual YouTube video, about the length and quality of an actual TV show.
Event Horizon is a futurism channel hosted by John Godier. Majority of his videos are interviews of scientists about the topics they are studying, often astronomy but other topics as well.
Required reading in school, have there been any books that stand out in your memory, if so, why?
Hmmm... Not really. All the most interesting books I read while in school were books that I read on my own initiative.

There is a webcomic called "Sluggy Freelance". My avatar is a character from that comic named "Bun-bun". He likes glocks, switchblades, and the TV show Baywatch.
Do you believe the United States should be more or less involved in world affairs?
Depends on the affair in question. I dislike broad generalized statements, especially in the case of politics.

Why did you choose the name "Discipulus_Didicit"?
It is a poorly translated Latin phrase. The original intent was for my name to translate to "Student of learning" (i.e. a student who studies the art of learning itself) but I think it actually translated to something like "The student learned".
What made you choose this new profile picture?
I thought it was funny that Mel- I mean some very clever person whose name I cannot figure out because they are too clever for me, would report the posts in the picture. That is all, jist thought it was funny.
I like the new profile pic
Lol thanks. I wonder what Mel- I mean the person who reported those posts whose name I definitely cannot guess thinks of it.
How'd you become a libertarian?
Sorry for the long response time to this question. Apparently this question has been sitting in my question box for 16 days yet I only noticed it just now.
In general I dislike the idea of labeling oneself or others with broad strokes of the brush when it comes to discussing politics. "Leftist" "Conservative" "Moderate" "Socialist" "Libertarian"... Rarely do these generalizations ever add anything useful to the conversation and the high prevalence - even dominance - of these egregious oversimplifications in common discussion tends to lead to a number of results which most people take for granted as completely normal but in reality are, quite frankly, nothing short of downright silly. As an example I shouldn't be able to predict your stance on gay rights, gun control, and corporate taxes with over 60% accuracy just based on you telling me your stance on abortion. I can though -despite these four topics being almost entirely unrelated - and people think this is completely normal. Does that seem right to you? It probably does, sadly.
But then why do I have the label of libertarian on my profile? Well I am not a libertarian. It is, to be sure, the nearest match to my actual political opinions out of the short list that is provided by the site. That is why I selected that as the label for my profile. Reading the above paragraph however I hope you can now see why it is impossible for me to give a satisfactory and direct answer to your question, and I am sorry for that. The simple fact is that I don't compartmentalize and categorize people into political groups the same way everyone else seems to do so naturally and therefore I cannot give you a precise explanation as to when or why or how I categorized myself as a libertarian. Because I never really have.
Which day would you gladly re-live?
Depends on whether I can change my actions knowing what I do now.
If I can then there are a lot of possible answers and I would have to really sit down for a long time and think about it. Off the top of my head I would go with either Oct. 4 2019 or Aug. 30 2018.
If not then I truly would decline to re-live any of them. I have had a few good days in my life but re-living them would just leave me depressed if I had to immediately return to the present.
