Racism is perhaps best described as a stupid response to discrimination.

And for sure it is difficult to reason with stupidity.

Whereas discrimination can easily be overridden.

Stupidity in this context is perhaps best defined as intransigence relative to established ideas.

I can't wait until Republicans take away the right to vote from Blacks and Women.
