Do you believe Obamacare was written by elected officials instead of unelected corporate lobbyists?
Like most laws, Obamacare was written with the input of many many stakeholders, their lobbyists, and Congressional staffers.

Same for your opinions.

Just like single payer was dismissed by unelected corporate lobbyists in a so called "Democracy" despite universal appeal from every party.

Dismissed with prejudice.

That article most certainly suggests the will of the voter has no place in America's corporate oligarchy.

By Republicans. Democrats were afraid to do it (as part of the Affordable Care Act) because Republicans made it clear they would characterize it as a government takeover of healthcare.

Wow, The NY Times. You are really improving your sources. However, you were talking about how Single payer was dismissed by lobbyists during the negotiations for Obamacare in 2009. This article is from 2019, 10 years later.

“Medicare for all,” an idea that is mocked publicly“

Its not like parents can afford to have enough children if they also have to pay for free (not free) healthcare.

US spends twice as much on healthcare than on military.

1.5 trillion dollars for healthcare?

And they want to increase that further? Yikes.

Well healthcare involves 320 million people, many of them poor or nearly poor. The military doesn’t even have 1.5 million people.

I cite the Washington Post every day. I read The NY Times every day. On the other hand you typically cite some blogger on YouTube as your source because you are an idiot. An idiot.

As usual the article wasn’t quite relevant to what you were discussing, the failure to have a single payer option as part of Obamacare. So you still need improvement

Lol, ya you offer the alternative facts that are not based in reality. You were enlisted in the navy, I doubt you even have a real college degree. Perhaps a correspondence course? A certificate of completion to become a substitute teacher.

[Best.Korea] Liberalism is good, but its hard to keep the greedy government away from other people's money when its so easy to raise taxes or print.

We all know that social welfare systems destroy people economically.

Free food for those who dont have food is somewhat okay, but free or semi-free healthcare? Thats too much drain on the economy and it gets abused too much.
Maybe it is hard, but strategies have been developed. We're living with some of them in place and I'd say they worked a hell of a lot better than the previous state of affairs.

I can certainly write a constitution which makes it illegal for a government to act unethically in an overt manner. Blockchains have the potential to decentralize several sources of corruption and tyranny (including currency and voting). We can improve upon the techniques of adversarial veto.

Until we've tried everything all at once it's far to soon to start declaring something impossible.

@Vegasgiants, I've given you plenty of chances to say something meritorious or at least interesting. You are simply repeating yourself and what you said originally was either trite slogans or bald faced conceptual errors. You also feel comfortable dismissing the opinions of others with no explanation.

The point being if I don't respond to you, don't hold your breath.

You have nothing to offer.  I live in the real world where democratic nations will always reject libertarian ideas mostly.  Those are simply facts

You can not get what you want without a dictatorship.   The peopke will never accept it
