Imagine blaming Trump for increasing the debt while at the same time supporting the increase of debt when your guy does it.

Do you blame Trump for increasing the debt......or just Biden?
Don't answer. Lol

@Vegasgiants
So if they both do it, no one is guilty?

Was my question invisible?
I knew you wouldn't answer. I predicted it. Lol

So either they are both guilty, either no one is.

First, paying people, or as we call it, unemployment insurance, makes perfect sense to keep the economy from going into a downward spiral.
Firstly, I didn’t claim it didn’t make sense. Second, I am rather shocked to see you genuinely compliment Trump on something during his presidency.
Second, the experts at the FED had no way of knowing how long it would take production to spool up again or supply chains to be re-established. They didn’t know Nina would shut down again for Covid either. Or Putin would invade Ukraine causing issues with oil supply and grain supply..
Right… they had no idea that paying the citizenry while producing less goods and services would result in the perfect storm of too much money chasing too few goods and services…. and I’m the idiot… you are too much, man…

I vote no one is
What is your vote?

Are you giving Trump credit for paying unemployment insurance? It wasn’t up to him. The program was created by FDR

Are you stupid? You just said you agreed with paying unemployment insurance. And nobody could predict the supply side problems I already listed.
So yes, you are the idiot.
Why people who study these things for a living thought this resultant inflation would be “transitory” is beyond me.
It has been transitory. It has already been cut in half. And they didn’t know it would last this long because they had no way of knowing the supply side would take so long to gear up. I can tell you airlines are selling more seats than ever before. But the government couldn’t protect capacity in every industry the way it protected the airline industry.

- CARES Act: The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, signed into law in March 2020, was a significant stimulus package aimed at providing relief to individuals, businesses, and the healthcare system. It included measures such as direct payments to individuals, expanded unemployment benefits, funding for small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), and support for healthcare providers and testing.
- Paycheck Protection Program (PPP): The PPP was established as part of the CARES Act to provide forgivable loans to small businesses affected by the pandemic. The program aimed to help businesses retain employees and cover essential expenses like payroll, rent, and utilities. The loans would be forgiven if certain conditions were met, such as maintaining employee headcount and using the funds for eligible expenses.
- Economic Impact Payments: The CARES Act authorized direct cash payments to eligible individuals and families. These Economic Impact Payments, also referred to as stimulus checks, provided financial assistance to help individuals cope with the economic consequences of the pandemic. Additional rounds of stimulus checks were later authorized by subsequent legislation.
- Expanded unemployment benefits: The CARES Act expanded unemployment benefits to provide additional support to individuals who lost their jobs due to the pandemic. It increased the weekly unemployment benefit amount and extended the duration of benefits. It also introduced Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) for self-employed individuals, gig workers, and others who are not typically eligible for regular unemployment benefits.
- Funding for healthcare and vaccine development: The Trump administration allocated significant funds for healthcare providers, testing, and vaccine development efforts. This included investments in research, distribution infrastructure, and partnerships with pharmaceutical companies to accelerate the development and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
Additional legislation and executive actions were taken to address various aspects of the crisis, including funding for schools, eviction moratoriums, and corporate welfare assistance to specific industries impacted by the pandemic.
Fanchick translation: All of this was for FDR's basic unemployment insurance.

Yes, Republicans will only spend money when they hold the White House. When they don’t, it’s time for spending cuts. That’s pretty transparent. The CARES Act was a Democrat bill. And Trump did not create unemployment insurance which is what we were talking about. Democrats created that vital program after the Great Depression
Trump also cut taxes for the wealthy by signing a Republican bill in 2017. That’s why he added more debt in 4 years than any President in history.

Too bad he undercut the efficacy of vaccines so badly that none of his idiot supporters wanted the vaccine. He also encouraged states to blow off masks and open up their states too soon because he was worried about his reelection. Causing hundreds of thousands to die unnecessarily. He also embraced quack science like putting disinfectant in the body and hiring that idiot Scott Atlas.
- "We're delivering much-needed relief to the American people with the signing of the CARES Act, a historic and unprecedented stimulus package."
- "I'm pleased that the CARES Act includes direct payments to hardworking Americans. This will provide immediate financial assistance to families during these challenging times."
- "Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and the Paycheck Protection Program in the CARES Act will help them keep their doors open and workers employed. By signing the CARES Act into law, we are sending a clear message: help is on the way. We will protect American workers and businesses during this difficult time."
- "Our focus is on saving jobs and supporting workers. The expanded unemployment benefits and other provisions in the CARES Act will provide relief to those who have been impacted by the pandemic. The direct payments included in the CARES Act will inject critical funds into the pockets of hardworking Americans, providing immediate relief and support."
Fanchick translation: It's a Democrat law.
- Introduced in the House as H.R. 748 (Middle Class Health Benefits Tax Repeal Act of 2019) by Joe Courtney (D-CT) on January 24, 2019[a]
- Passed the Senate as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act on March 25, 2020 (96–0) with amendment
SubTeach has trouble reading and uses quotes. Who are you quoting genius?
Trump would sign a Ham sandwich if he thought it would help him get elected. He had no idea what he was doing and couldn’t care less what the price was. If it had been 10 trillion he would have signed it, but now he wants budget cuts because he’s not president anymore. He literally said that. And like a dummy you are giving him credit for spending money he had no idea where it was going and didn’t care.
SubTeach should stick to children’s books instead of cutting and pasting things he doesn’t understand.
Fanchick translation: Happy Trump signed it.
On March 27, 2020, former President Donald Trump signed the CARES Act into law during a ceremony at the White House. Flanked by key lawmakers and administration officials, Trump put his signature on the legislation, marking its official enactment. The signing took place in the Oval Office, the iconic room where presidents often sign significant bills into law. As cameras captured the moment, Trump expressed his support for the CARES Act, describing it as a historic and unprecedented relief package aimed at providing economic assistance to American workers, families, and businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The signing of the CARES Act symbolized the government's response to the economic challenges posed by the pandemic and signaled a commitment to providing financial relief to individuals and entities affected by the crisis.
Fanchick translation: It's a Democrat law.
I’m always happy when Republicans follow Democrats. But when Democrats embrace Republican ideas, like ending Glass-Steagall, bad things happen.
That’s why Biden should tell McCarthy to get bent.
The signing of the CARES Act symbolized the government's response to the economic challenges posed by the pandemic and signaled a commitment to providing financial relief to individuals and entities affected by the crisis.
You sound like a Democrat here.
What is your position exactly? The CARES ACT was Trump’s idea or the Democrats and was it a good thing or bad?
Fanchick Translation: Trump is a Republican, and history will remember some obscure Congressman over Biden when the country falls apart.
Also Fanchick translation: Trump sounds like a Democrat.
What is your position exactly?
My position? Why would you ask a fellow Trump hater that?
What happens to a substitute teacher when the country falls apart? You are already poor and insignificant so there’s really no risk for you. You would make more on unemployment insurance than actually showing up to work.
Why would you ask a fellow Trump hater that?
Oh, you’re a Trump hater now? Big surprise Judas.
You are too stupid to be anything other than a MAGA moron.
Oh, you’re a Trump hater now? Big surprise Judas
Lol, Trump's a loudmouth liberal from New York, he aint that much better than a Democrat.
You had it right the 1st time when you said he sounded like a Democrat when signing the CARES act.
You had it right the 1st time when you said he sounded like a Democrat when signing the CARES act.
Bullshit, those were not Trump’s words. Trump is incapable of putting 10 words together that make sense.
“The signing of the CARES Act symbolized the government's response to the economic challenges posed by the pandemic and signaled a commitment to providing financial relief to individuals and entities affected by the crisis”
It’s laughable to think Trump could say those words even with cue cards and a teleprompter in front of his face. And it’s not even written as someone’s words it’s written about the CARES ACT.
WH releases
There it is. There it is.
Why don't you go look up what he said and his WH releases about the CARES bill. Even MSNBC had to cover the garbage rhetoric for ratings. He practically slobbered all over that dildo of a bill.
It’s laughable to think Trump could say those words even with cue cards and a teleprompter in front of his face
Oh you could definitely see his eyes moving right to left. There's no mystery about that at all...

You really are failing to keep up. Trump enacted the CARES Act. He even wanted his signature on the checks. And you were just defending it in your previous post— although you failed to realize that it was much more than the usual unemployment insurance. So, you were coming to Trump’s defense unintentionally… yet I’m the idiot. Everything ok? Are you feeling… fit enough to fly?
You just said you agreed with paying unemployment insurance. And nobody could predict the supply side problems I already listed.
No, I did not just say that I agreed (or disagreed, for that matter) with anything. I have just been stating facts… facts you seem to be having trouble processing properly.
When people are prohibited from creating goods and services as they were during the extended lockdowns, a definite lack of goods and services is the inevitable result as demand returns when those stimulus check laden people are released from said lockdown. It wasn’t the “if” but the “when” and the “how bad?” that was difficult to predict.
Because you didn’t see it coming, your ego compels you to believe that it was impossible for anyone to foresee.

Oh I forgot about that. Pure hubris.

You are a dummy. Trump will spend money to help Trump, get it? That’s why he wanted his name on the checks. Democrats spend money to help poor people. Even when Republicans hold the White House. Now that Trump is no longer President he wants to cut spending.
Firstly, I didn’t claim it didn’t make sense.
