Definitions Across Topics: (Use the Definitions that Apply to the Topic you Choose)
- Abolished: Scrapped, destroyed, changed to where it does not exist, no longer having influence on law and/or society.
- Child Support: The practice of providing monetary compensation to an ex-spouse who has custody of children after a divorce and/or separation.
- Ethical: Seeking a moral standard, tending towards the desire for goodness.
- Feminism: Women's movements across time, including first-wave, second-wave, third-wave, and modern feminism.
- Gender Roles: The idea that men and women are implicitly different and thus serve different roles and functions within a family.
- Higher Education: Education past the high-school level; particularly in the trade and collegiate scholarship area.
- Hypergamy: The concept asserting women seek the highest value male they can find; often leaving and/or cheating on their current partner for a potential better mate.
- Late-Term Abortion: Abortion after the woman knows she is pregnant and has allowed the baby to develop to at least the second trimester.
- No-Fault Divorce: The notion of law which allows divorce without the justification of proper cause, allowing for separation based on preference without the need for a justifiable reason to end the marriage outside of personal grievances. Fault for divorce is no longer needed to be obtained, thus expanding divorce past reasons such as abuse, infidelity, and other extreme cases.
- On Balance: On average, in most cases, more often than not.
- Patriarchy: A system where men dominate socially and economically over women.
- Rape Culture: Social implications and trends towards the idea that rape is either acceptable, natural, or it is the victims' fault for the action; the normalization of rape.
- Sexual Liberation: Movement in the 20th century pertaining to the destruction of female preference for chastity; encouraging sexual activities before marriage, often with partners that may not desire commitment.
- Western Developed Countries: Countries pertaining to the United States, Canada, and Western Europe.
You guys have a week to agree to a topic! Good luck!

- On Balance, an Ethical Patriarchy is More Desirable to Alternatives
I prefer to be Con.
- On Balance, Feminism as a Whole has Done More Harm than Good
I can be Pro or Con.
The Nineteenth Amendment Should be Abolished
Pro, maybe
On Balance, Feminism as a Whole has Done More Harm than Good
No can do
On Balance, a Rape Culture Exists in Western Developed Countries
Con
On Balance, the Sexual Liberation of Women Was a Good Thing
Com
On Balance, Bringing Women into the Work Force was a Good Thing
Pro
Gender Roles Exist and Should be Observed
On Balance, Women Who Work Should Not Have Kids
Not interested
On Balance, Access to Contraceptives Was a Good Thing
Not interested
Late-Term Abortion Should be Legal
Pro or con
On Balance, Women are Worse in Leadership Roles Compared to Men
Prefer not to do
On Balance, an Ethical Patriarchy is More Desirable to Alternatives
Too boring
On Balance, Abolition of Arranged Marriage Was a Good Thing
Con
On Balance, Women Should Not Seek Higher Education
Boring
On Balance, Non-Virgin Brides are Undesirable
Who cares
No-Fault Divorce Should be Abolished
Maybe open to taking a position after an hour of so of research.
On Balance, Child Support Should be Abolished
Con
On Balance, Single-Motherhood is Morally Wrong
Unfair position for pro to take, too easy of a win for con, so would prefer to avoid as easy wins are dishonorable
On Balance, Women are Meant to be Submissive to Men
I think meant implies a God or some sort of motive for nature, which has pro essentially arguing for two things at once, would rather avoid
On Balance, Marriage is Outdated and Should be Abolished
Con
Hypergamy Exists and is Common Among Women
Pro but could change my mind depending on definitions of terms

I'd be willing to do CON on the one about the 19th amendment, if that's fine with you.

@AustinL0926
How brave of you to take the controversial position that women should be allowed to vote.
-->
@PREZ-HILTON
I take low-hanging fruit where I find it ;)
I'm also 90% sure what your argument is going to be, but we'll see if I'm right.
-->
@AustinL0926
I am not even sure. I know which one I want to make, but the one I want to make, isn't the best argument.
I want to argue that women are shit voters and their first step after gaining voting rights was stupid shit like prohibition.
The 19th amendment isn't exactly about voting rights though.
-->
@AustinL0926
Are you willing to ignore that the 14th amendment exists for the purposes of this debate so things don't get into silly town?
I just don't want to face an argument such as
"It's pointless to repeal the 19th amendment because the 14th would give women the same rights"
-->
@PREZ-HILTON
I don't see what part of the 14th amendment would pertain to this debate, though...?

@Sir.Lancelot
- On Balance, Feminism as a Whole has Done More Harm than Good
I can be Pro or Con.
I will be Con.
It's not what I agree with, but I kind of want to test the waters a bit.
-->
@AustinL0926
It can be argued that the 14th amendment gave women rights anD not the 19th, and that the government was just behaving unconstitutionally prior to the 19th which was. More explicit in giving women equally rights.

Sorry for the late response, lots of schoolwork in the past two days. That sounds reasonable enough. Feel free to send me a challenge, or tag me if there's anything else you want to negotiate.
