I'm paranoid about things I don't understand, or that are not 'normalized for me.

I'm not sure that lab grown meat is healthy or ethical.

Those objections are silly. 

Speciessm critique- humans are superior to animals and it is stupid to claim otherwise.

Health- veganism is unhealthy which would be much more clear without doctors and scientific advocates muddying the waters with misleading claims. 

Resource intensive - true, which is why it's expensive, but I suspect it will be much less resource intensive in the future

Big businesses would dominate- the other option is factory farming, so pick your poison I guess.

I mean think about it.

If just eating plant-based things was the best way to go about life, then why didn't life evolve to all be herbivores? 

It's because we need a healthy amount of meat, and other things to help us survive.

The  thing I don't like about it is you using the gun barrel of govt to force your idea down peoples throats. Pretty much the go to for everything now.

I don't know,

I've read that plants have evolved over time,

More dangerous during X time period,

Less dangerous in Y time period.

Might be it was easier for some animals, to eat other animals,

Than to eat plants.

Or when certain plants were less nutritious,

Easier to eat the animals that were specialized in eating that plant.

Another thought is that suppose herbivores with no predators ate all the plants,

Well, was probably useful for the one's able to eat other animals.

A bear could eat a surplus of fruit and vegetables, but still not make it through the winter. 

Bears need that protein and fat to help them to survive. 

Survival means are situationally dependent, I'd say,

Though I'd agree meat is a nifty food source.
