The left: Put them in a woman’s prison!  Transwomen are women.

The right: Put them in a men’s prison!  Protect out girls!

Me: I don’t care if you think transwomen are men or women.  I don’t want tax dollars feeding prisoners; we spend $182 billion a year on our prisons.  Give the prisoner lashings!  That’s your punishment.

Put them in men's prisons so I feel less gay about prison sex when I inevitably go.

If you punish them in ANY prison, your tax dollars pay for it.  Lash them instead.

I have done a debate on judicial corporal punishment and it is tough to argue against

And then… let them go? Doesn’t seem like a great way to ensure public safety.

Prisoners learn their lesson after lashings possibly more than our current incarceration system.  A lot of them want prison because it’s stable food and shelter.  All paid for with non consenting taxpayers.

I am aware of no studies concluding that people would be less likely to commit crimes if they were slashed as opposed to jailed indefinitely, and certainly not of anything concluding that they would “learn their lesson”.

I’m also quite sure that releasing the entire prison population for good is not something the overwhelming majority of tax payers would be ok with.

But you are free to believe whatever you want, I guess…

It’s because lashings isn’t tried anywhere, you might not find such evidence.  But I think the fear of pain is stronger than the fear of a comfy cell, free healthcare, free food, and free clothes.  Prison is better than homelessness; and it’s why many people that are homeless commit crimes; they want to be caught so they get taken care of at MY expense.  I don’t want tax dollars feeding bad people.

I actually think for non violent crimes they should be given the option. A lot of the social problems we see in marginalized communities would be fixed by this. Fathers who fucked up can minimize the time they spend away from their children and away from working and be punished for their crimes without hurting their families. They can avoid making friends with and interacting with criminals they meet in prison and they have less gaps in their resume to have to explain to employers.

Violent crimes, different story but non violent ones we can reduce their impact with corporal punishment.

They actually do have various forms of judicial corporal punishment in many areas and those areas seem to have low crime rates. I think that it is a good deterrent, and the ethical implications can be worked around by making in voluntary in liu of serving actual time

Don't put anyone in prisons because the US prison system is terrible and 70% of prisoners re-offend within 5 years! The only people who benefit from mass incarceration are the companies that the government outsources inmate employment to, at pennies on the dollar.

Actually, I think neither. I think there should be two new kinds of prisons.

Since the left wants to identify these men as trans women and not just women, we should make transwomen prisons, and transmen prisons, to make everything equal.

When you lash them, will you be wearing some sexy gear?

And I suppose that Prison life will always depend upon functionality and penetrability.

I was always opposed to prisons because they dont decrease crime or violence.

Most prisons are a form of torture. They are not even suggesting to turn a prisoner into a good person.

"The prison punishment for crime" is a mentality I oppose to.

"Lock a person up for years in a small room" in most cases does not lead to "Person becomes better in behavior".

I think people would benefit more from punishments such as "forced employment".

No.  Pain from the prisoner must be endured so they don’t re offend.

Unless you have enough money to survive, everyone is subject to forced employment.  Lash the prisoner!

You can still give them a good lashing.

Though there is always a fine line between a good lashing and extreme eroticism.

The discrepancies between crime rates is beyond ridiculous.
