first off, it would be easy to rationalize that we used logic to create the idea of God and went with it instead of the other way around.
Second, we can justify the Holocaust not being bad, because morality is subjective. Hitler just had a disagreeable moral standard relative to most of us here, as racism is reprehensible here. If racism is normalized in society the tale will be different.

Suppose you are a white boy born in Berlin in 1930 and you don't ever go out of Germany until after 1945, you would most likely consider such an act righteous because everyone else say so.
