Men or women.

I’ll start.

Eyebrow thinning. Women go too far with it.

Fake stuff- 'roided out bodies, salon tans, wigs, makeup, dyed hair,  cosmetic surgery.  I find most piercings unattractive.  Face tattoos, colored contact lenses, fake dreadlocks, weaves, etc.  Natural is always more attractive.

Hideous tattooing...M and F and any other fictitious gender too.

Tight leggings on fat bodies.

Piercings for sure.......M and F and see above.

Fake tans....M and F etc.

Bloated lips.

And yep, eyebrows too....Pull them out and the paint them on....How stupid is that.

I don't really think about it, but I never go for the girls covered in makeup and blond highlights or whatever. That sort of girl it just feels like it's their entire personality. But every girl puts work in, more than I do anyway. God bless 'em, ya know. I go for the natural look, I guess.

Bullshit. Natural is only more attractive if you're naturally attractive. Guys say they don't like makeup on women, but in reality it does make most women look better if its not too noticeable.

I'd rather be able to 'see someone's genes, than have them hide them.

I don't think some women with skin conditions want you to see their genes, as it's a lose-lose for them. Fake if they wear makeup, and are ugly and undesired without makeup. They can't win.

What these people are saying would be like saying we should never get braces, because its "fake" from how they naturally were without medical intervention. Should kids be forced to be bullied for having goofy teeth, making dating significantly harder for them?

We may like to see peoples natural genes, but that doesn't mean we will get a better impression from them. Being ugly makes your life much harder. No sane person with self respect would willingly allow themselves to not care for their looks, as its a social and dating prison sentence.

Does Lemming need genetic charity for his progeny? Joking aside… seriously?

By ‘attractiveness’ and ‘beauty’ we’re all on the same page but you.

You should be more worried about inheritable medical conditions if you’re judging a potential partner based on their genes.
Looks are secondary.

I'm not saying people should be bullied for having bad teeth,
But I find good genes more attractive than bad genes.

I don't think avoiding makeup and plastic surgery means a person doesn't care for their looks,
Keeping in shape, keeping clean, brushing one's teeth,
Plenty a person can do.

Well, true, I'm not interested in having kids myself,

Still, we don't all have to like the same thing,
I'd prefer a natural 4 than an unnatural 10,
Though what's 'considered unnatural is a bit too wide a definition I suppose.

I don't think everyone can look attractive simply by keeping clean and wearing nice clothes. Some men just look bad no matter what haircut they have.

Some people just don't have the genetics to be attractive without some kind of surgery/makeup. This man in the video cant grow a beard, so its not like he can cover up his chin or anything. He would need medical intervention for his teeth too, i don't know what he can do with his hair either. Being unattractive as a young person can completely destroy someone's self image.

I'd rather be balding than wear a toupee,
But beauty's in the eye of the beholder,
I find good genes attractive in a person.
. . .
Also honesty, and being confident enough in oneself not to hide their genetics.

Nope, beauty is objective.  Sure, everyone could have their quirks and "types", but to suggest that it is subjective is not true

luckily for you nobody actually finds that attractive despite the effort from fashion and personal care companies, and online dating data proves it. Being dramatically overweight or obese as a woman is a KILLER, and they get less action than a 5'6 man

Do you have microscopic visual capability,  analysing gene structure as you do?

And talking of homophones,

I like skinny jeans on slender legs and pert arses.

Skinny jeans on big arses and fat legs is a contradiction in terms.

Fatty jeans would be more accurate, but some people might be offended.

And for sure, others would be turned on. (Eye of the beholder and all that).

Perhaps you mean that you prefer women who have attained a certain level of intellect. (Deadbeat mum and all that).

I'd rather date a woman with 'slightly crooked teeth, than a woman with 'more crooked teeth perfectly aligned by braces.

Sure a person's body and personality are often shaped by nurture rather than nature, and thus their genes could be fine, even if their appearance 'indicated bad genes,
But it doesn't sound right to me, to claim that people's appearances are not effected by their genetics, or that the human eye is incapable of viewing others and reaching reasonable conclusions about their genetics.

"(Deadbeat mum and all that)." - zedvictor4 #22

Deadbeat parents is an ongoing issue of TheUnderdog's. I thought perhaps you were aware.

And for sure, structure and performance are dictated by genes.

Quirkiness is often appealing though, more so than cosmetic clones in my opinion.

These discussions irk me, It hurts my heart to compare humans and value them in such arbitrary judgemental manners.
