Belief in Jesus in central to over 2 billion Christians. You cannot dismiss that  for a pragmatic perspective.

believers think that "without a reverence for god and a fear of hellfire, there is no moral compass"

but this belief is demonstrably false

so, although they THINK "the jesus" informs their decision making

it has almost zero REAL influence

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Virgin births are rare today because women take contraceptives to prevent that from happening. And when that fails resort to Abortion. This is why Christian men are against abortions. They believe it stops Jesus from return as promised, obviously through another virgin birth.

great point
That is if you believe like most Americans that Jesus picked America for his return. Abortion is legal in Israel. The first virgin birth did not turn out so good for the Jewish people.

Very true.

Though I don't think that the Jews even referred to him as Jesus.

Nonetheless, everything that is, is because of everything that was.

And so on.

So unless you restart from ground zero and re-educate the entire human race, then your comment was as unrealistic as it might be pragmatic.

Those Middle Eastern storytellers sure did start something.

What?! First, birth control isn't what makes parthenogenesis rare. It is exceedingly rare with or without contraceptives. Secondly, an all-powerful, all knowing entity could never lose in a game of 'abortion whack-a-mole' unless that was his intent. Anyone who claims to be against abortion for this reason needs to either evaluate and understand their beliefs a little better or stop being dishonest.

Follow the facts!!  No virgin birth reported after women started taking birth control pills to prevent virgin births. This was directly in proportion to the rise in Christianity in western countries and women attending church. Contraceptives and abortions were initiated by men who lacked faith in science, medicine and women.
But all that changed as men converted to Christianity. They believed it stops Jesus from returning as promised, obviously through another virgin birth.
Anal sex was a way of having it both ways, allowing both virgin births because it did not involve penetration of the Vagina and sexual gratification at the same time.

Christian men even took it a step further by turning to homosexuality where virgin births would be impossible and anal sex the norm. No contraceptives, abortions or birth control to prevent the return of Jesus in his preferred method of virgin birth conception.

Why Christians are against homosexuality is a contradiction. Even Jesus hung out  with his 12 disciples who were all men. He taught the world how to avoid interfering with virgin births before contraceptive or the birth control pill were invented.

Virgin birth (like what's claimed in Christianity) involves pregnancy without a person ever having sex. Soooo, anal sex and gay sex wouldn't prevent parthenogenesis (if it is possible)...it might prevent pregnancy and someone being labeled a virgin though. ;-)

Secondly, birth control pre-exists Christianity (by 1000's of years). So, the fact is that virgin births have been claimed after women started using birth control. What kind of a puny god would be stopped by a pill anyway?

All that being said, every generation has its fundamentalists that anxiously wait for Jesus to return and imagine the second-coming to be within their lifetime. They interpret current events through the lense of the Bible and, if it is within their power, they steer society toward what they think the ends times should look like. If there are Christians working to prevent Jesus from coming back, I've never seen nor heard of them.

The Jews rejected Jesus and demanded Jesus be crucified. The Romans crucified Jesus. Both the Jews and Romans are still around which might explain why Jesus is so reluctant to return. With women on birth control pills and easy access to abortion has greatly reduced the odds of virgin births.

The Christian men seeking to abolish abortions and contraceptives will be creating the very situation Jesus warned us about. Too many virgin births, to many claiming they are the true Messiah.
Matthew 24:For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.

Romans may or may not be Christian...Jews are definitely NOT Christian.

You've dropped multiple points which are damagaing to your argument. What you did address is not making any sense, my friend.

The first Christians were Hellenic Jews. The Romans replaced Judaism with the  Roman Catholic Church to become the largest body of Christians.

Yes the Jews and Romans  who converted to Christianity , their descendants who are Christians are still around which is preventing Jesus from returning.

If the Buddhist converted to Christianity Jesus would be less afraid to return.

Jesus was never afraid of racists, bigots or atheists. He confronted them during his ministry.
It’s the Jew and  Romans that is preventing Jesus from returning.

Without a 'sacrifice' there could be no talk of a second coming. The return of Jesus would be contigent upon his death. So, again, you've not presented evidence of anyone working to stop a 'second coming' much less any Christians doing so.

The magical return of a  dead person is unlikely.

And cheap talk of second comings is cheap.

And sacrifice might or might not have value....Depending upon the level of sacrifice and also the likelihood of achieving a positive result.

Though sacrifice and second comings is a good analogy for Universal resurrection.

But that's a somewhat different hypothesis.

Actually nailing people to posts is a bit drastic.

The Bible tells us Jesus was not sacrificed, Jesus was crucified.

Luke 23:21 But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”

Matthew 27:35 After they had nailed him to the cross, the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.

The Jews rejected Jesus and demanded Jesus be crucified. The Romans crucified Jesus. Both the Jews and Romans are still around which might explain why Jesus is so reluctant to return.

Christian men in America are seeking  a complete ban on contraceptives, abortions or birth control to prevent the return of Jesus in his preferred method of virgin birth conception.
They are holding onto the promise in John 14:2-3

John 14:2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

The only sacrifice Jesus has offered to make is to leave the comforts of his fathers house in heaven temporarily to come and fetch his believer so they may be with him.

Your claim was that virgin births are rare because of contraceptives, anal sex, and homosexuality. Substantiatiation is not found for this claim in the Bible or anywhere else.

The Bible is clear Mary was a virgin and was not on any birth control pills or contraceptives.

It is only after women heard virgin births are possible as is salvation through Jesus that virgins seeing the fate of Jesus a suffering saviour that virgin birth control became a choice. Other methods and options developed with time.
They all worked to stop Jesus returning as he promised in his preferred method of virgin birth conception.

White Christian men are seeking to abolish all forms of virgin birth controls including sex to improve the odds of Jesus returning.
