Orangemanbad Democrats are to Trump as Prohibition was to Al Capone.

One can't exist without the other.

Thankfully for America, both will be noted in history as repealed in 4 months.

And Pelosi. Maybe the FBI agents and DC cops that helped the show happen.

Dereliction of duty has consequences outside of DC.

J6 theatre has to be the funniest political suicide I have seen since the Dukakis ad of him riding in a tank
Really not sure what's funny about Trump's own aids testifying under oath about how he wanted the mob that attacked the US capitol to be armed. Perhaps you can enlighten us?

Never ceases to amaze me how right wingers cannot tell the difference between subpoeanaing witnesses to a plot to overthrow US Democracy, and subpoeanaing someone for not being sufficiently loyal to the home team.

Cause Democrats thought the tank would make Dukakis look good, just like Trumpy's spray-on-tan aides were supposed to make Pelosi look good. Hilariously wrong as it turned out.

Very bad political optics.

When a democratic president tries to use the power of his office to throw out the results of an election to maintain power, republicans are free to use every resource available to investigate.

The polls and ratings are clear.

  1. Most Americans are ambivalent.
  2. The majority of ambivalent Americans have disengaged from the J6 reporting, because the regard it as an exercise of political manipulation which they resent.  In this way, Democrats lose.
  3. There three groups of non-ambivalent Americans: (a) those who supported, (b) those who did not support or oppose and (c) those who opposed.
  4. Of those who supported, a clear majority has no objection to anything Trump did or was accused of doing.  In this way, Democrats lose.
  5. Of those who neither supported nor opposed, a clear majority does not think anything concerning J6 should impact 2024 in any way; in the generic ballot, they pick Trump 3/5 times over any generic democrat and all three major democrat contenders (except Bernie Sanders).    In this way, Democrats lose.
  6. Of those who opposed, nothing they have been able to say or do has meaningfully harmed Trump's odds of winning in 2024, both a Republican primary and the general elections. In this way, Democrats lose.

Cal blocker.....Most Americans are ambivalent.
Most USA citizens voted in Nixon

Many USA citizens voted in on Arnold Shwarzegger { the cigar smoking terminator kinda like rough rider theodore Rosevelt

Most USA citizens vote popularity. NIxon out ergo ergo Gerald Ford was out, and Carter was in { the south rises again }

Carter military operation went sour, Carter was out, Regan { cowboy actor } was in.

Most USA citizens more interested in Hollywood popularity ---see shoot from the hip, Orange-Trumpet run---  than intellectual endeavors truly needed for politics.

Biden aint making the popularity contest, so, unless a democrat of charm --not strong women like Hillary--   men like Bill Clinton or Obama comes through, were looking at another Republican, and this also makes sense because most peoples are  conservative by their very nature to preserve what that have of value of to them.

People of color are by their nature more conservative, cause they they understand more than anyone to preserve what is valuable to you, cause it is all you have to fall back on.

I think it’s reasonable to find out why Pelosi didn’t want any GOP reps to question their witnesses considering she singlehandedly rejected the GOP bench put forth by McCarthy (unprecedented). I also want to know what she knew about the clear intelligence that this was coming, and if she did know why she rejected the National Guard.

If this were a democracy everyone would vote on which laws would get passed.
jury nullification allows every citizen to vote on which laws are ENFORCED

Curious to know what everyone's thoughts are
the upshot here is the government is (unsurprisingly) pushing for greater restrictions on protesting in general

this is a rather obvious pro-tyranny direction

the most shocking thing about this entire situation is that NOBODY is talking about increasing election transparency

this should have been a top priority after the bush v gore fiasco (WHICH ACTUALLY PUT GORE IN THE LEAD AFTER A FULL RECOUNT)

Do you think the laws prohibiting judge intimidation at their houses should be repealed?

people should be able to protest on public property (like a sidewalk) as long as they are not violating some ALREADY EXISTING STATUTE

for example, they can't obstruct traffic

and they can't exceed noise pollution ordinances

it's funny how conservatives are always railing against privacy, saying "you have to put your personal reputation on the line" and "everyone needs to have skin-in-the-game"

but somehow that doesn't apply whenever they don't like the consequences

i think it's funny when conservatives prove they don't have any principles

i'm fully in support of anonymous judges on the supreme court

China has that. Anonymous people in power. So much for transparency. You should rethink your stance on mob intimidation.

decentralization is the key to prosperity and liberty, not mob rule.

Saying it's hypocritical to ensure the safety of the lives of leaders is a ridiculously unexamined edgelord sentiment.

Mob intimidation and public executions didn't work out so well for France, Ireland, or Al Capone.
