So i did me a little google and learned about Norse gods.
I do get my Gods mixed up sometimes.
Next thing i am searching germanic.
A weekend with the Wiccan's sounds a great deal more ummmmm, " entertaining " then bible studies with the Christians.
May i suggest. ( probably already exists )

What do you do on the weekend to celebrate this?
Well there's two separate events the first event is the actual "religious" event of May Day where I will put out offerings to Frau Holda and Dunner. Then the new moon is more of a witchy thing I'll write down something I want to let go of and something I want to manifest and put it in the fire. Then because it's a new moon I'll make divination mirrors known as black mirrors to sell in my shop. Then they'll probably do Reiki on myself and meditate. And then tomorrow I'm sure our pastor will have some sort of church service based around Mayday.
