Has anyone heard about this conspiracy theory that covid 19 doesn't exist and that it is just the flu.

The new faked one caused the entire earth to basically be shut down for a but and allowed it to heal years of polluting.

It never ceases to amaze me how someone will call CNN or the New York Times fake and then get their news from Kenan SonOfEnos.

If COVID was a hoax the entire world would have to be in on it. Please tell me you are joking.

And hospitals being at or over max capacity and lacking proper equipment, was that all fake? The decrease of hospitalised patients due to vaccines, that’s fake too? It would make more sense if you said it’s to heal pollution while admitting the virus is real.

the news certainly reported that, while hospitals slowly shut down due to not having enough patients, and nurses did tik tok videos with all their free time at work.

All 3 have the same caliber reporting. The only things you can trust are unbiased experts. Like foreign affairs magazine or the economist etc. Mainstream news is shit.

If UFOs did not visit us, it would require a hoax on a major scale. Millions lying, officers in the military or airforce risking their reputations lying etc. Etc.

Hospitals shut down due to lack of patients versus hospitals having not enough room and equipment to treat covid symptoms. There’s probably over 100,000 hospitals worldwide and the major ones are in populated areas. But yeah, a couple of nurses doing a 30 second tik tok or whatever.

globalresearch.ca has been one of the most famous sources of Russian disinformation for 20 years.  Last August, Trump's own State Dept. warned

"Global Research is a Canadian website that has become deeply enmeshed in Russia’s broader disinformation and propaganda ecosystem. Its large roster of fringe authors and conspiracy theorists serves as a talent pool for Russian and Chinese websites. Its publications also provide a Western voice that other elements of the ecosystem can leverage to their advantage."

According to the Globe, NATO's Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence (StratCom) believed that the site was playing a "key accelerant role in helping popularize articles with little basis in fact that also happen to fit the narratives being pushed by the Kremlin" and the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad. The report described the site as an "online refuge for conspiracy theorists" and suggested that NATO specialists viewed it as "a link in a concerted effort to undermine the credibility of mainstream Western media—as well as the North American and European public's trust in government and public institutions.

Chossudovsky is a board member of other pro-Russian websites which attempt to spread conspiracy theories.

An article on Global Research making the false assertion that the Coronavirus pandemic was not real was carried by 70 other outlets, according to the August 2020 State department report.  Chossudovsky himself has described it as being a "manufactured pandemic".  Earlier in 2020, his list of 10 questions was tweeted by the foreign minister of Iran. They included the claim that the United States government was responsible for the international coronavirus pandemic. Global Research published an article entitled "COVID-19: Further Evidence that the Virus Originated in the US" was posted on social media by a senior official in the Chinese foreign ministry.  Chinese state media have reported such unfounded speculation which has been carried by Chossudovsky's website with, according to The Globe and Mail, misattributed sources.

***************
GlobalResearch often reports unfavorably about Israel such as this: The Zionist Idea Has Never Been More Terrifying than It Is Today. This unlabeled opinion piece does not provide a single source of evidence for their claims. When it comes to politics, they are strongly anti-capitalist and anti-Globalist, as their name suggests. While GlobalResearch does promote legitimate humanitarian concerns, its views on science, economics, and geopolitics are questionable. For example, GR promotes anti-vaccination propaganda, 9-11 as a false flag operation, GMOs are harmful, and Chemtrails. There are so many more; this is just the tip of the iceberg.
In general, this is a website the purports to be concerned for humanity yet routinely publishes false information that misleads humanity.

Failed Fact Checks
Overall, we rate GlobalResearch a Tin Foil Hat Conspiracy and Strong Pseudoscience website based on the promotion of unproven information such as the dangers of Vaccines and 9-11 as a false flag operation.

Nothing.  The State Dept. caught China authoring articles on this  same website last summer saying the same thing- the Coronavirus is not real but also the Coronavirus did not originate in Wuhan, and several articles saying the coronavirus was designed in the US.  The State Dept. has identified this website as one of Russia's principle venues for propagating anti-American propaganda.

Fallacy of Canceling Hypotheses
Description:
The argument defends one hypothesis by proposing a second hypothesis to explain the lack of evidence in support of the first hypothesis. That is, the second hypothesis cancels or undermines the predictions made by the first hypothesis.

Wylted's evidence that several billion people have conspired against him to try to make him believe covid is real is that they've done it before to try to make him believe that aliens have not visited planet earth.

Is you claim that only Russian backed news sites are biased?

Wylted's evidence that several billion people have conspired against him to try to make him believe covid is real is that they've done it before to try to make him believe that aliens have not visited planet earth.

It would take less than 100 people. In fact it can be an unintentional hoax with none involved. You know like how UFOs aren't literally a billion people trying to fool you. Covid19 would just need things like news organizations needing a big story to sell more papers and j I moping on things, a naive public and maybe covid tests that can't differentiate between the flu and covid19.

I'm showing how the fallacy of just trusting the masses, the same masses who caused the satanic panic, the British dancing disease, and the Salem witch trials is stupid.

His claim is basically that lots of people believe some shit, so that makes it true. It's essentially what you are saying as well. That billions believe the same thing, so in order for that belief to be false, your low IQ makes you think they have to be coordinating something.

no

Wylted's evidence that several billion people have conspired against him to try to make him believe covid is real is that they've done it before to try to make him believe that aliens have not visited planet earth.

It would take less than 100 people.

It would take all 10-15 million doctors in the world just to go along the fake testing procedures as well as most of their healthcare support systems- say 200-300 million people conservatively.  I live next to 3 major hospitals and just the pantomime of the  thousands of ambulance trips, night and day all winter would have required thousands of people to perform.  My block has 3 emergency room nurses from different hospitals who would have required significant intervention just to get those women t pretend to work 80 hour weeks for this past year and sob about the catastrophes visiting all their workplaces.  Just to fool me alone would have required maybe ten thousand people.

In fact, we can test for flu and COVID simultaneously because they require different genetic primers.  All 15 million doctors would have to be working together to pretend that the COVID genetic primer is just the flu primer.

I'm showing how the fallacy of just trusting the masses, the same masses who caused the satanic panic, the British dancing disease, and the Salem witch trials is stupid.
Dancing disease was real enough, spasms brought on by grain molds and common to all rye and wheat growing areas, although the reports of spasms were much exaggerated.

Claims of Satan worship always begin with false witnesses like you and only last for long among the most ignorant and gullible populations.

His claim is basically that lots of people believe some shit, so that makes it true. It's essentially what you are saying as well.  That billions believe the same thing, so in order for that belief to be false, your low IQ makes you think they have to be coordinating something.
False.  His claim (and mine) is that billions of people would have to be working in coordination just to try fool you and a handful of other people, all of whom have a long history of believing many different ignorant and gullible claims.  Why would anybody work that hard to fool the people who are easiest to fool?

Meanwhile, just a small sampling of your interactions on this website demonstrates that you have a real problem with acknowledging and telling the truth under any and all circumstances.  Your inner troll constantly compels you to discover what lies you can tell with what consequence.  Remember when that football player fainted before a game a few weeks abck and you instantly falsely reported that he died of coronavirus without any evidence? That billions believe something doesn't make it true but not believing something just because billions believe it is just as much faith-based sillinesss as the former.

Absolutely not. It only takes flawed testing methods.

My block has 3 emergency room nurses from different hospitals who would have required significant intervention just to get those women t pretend to work 80 hour weeks for this past year
I honestly would not be shocked if they were simultaneously letting people go, while forcing the remaining staff to work more hours. It isn't uncommon in a lot of industries. Especially if they are under paying nurses.

Claims of Satan worship always begin with false witnesses like you and only last for long among the most ignorant and gullible populations.

False witnesses were not  necessarily malevolent. A lot of the ways children were questioned by psychologists, contributed to false memories, we also have to account for hysteria and those with mental illness. 3 contributing factors that have nothing to do with malevolence or a conspiracy. Mass delusions can happen. Look at what happened with lead not too long ago. It wasn't a conspiracy of doctors recommending it for beauty and health products. They just didn't know better. Doctors could be facing a similar thing with this.

That billions believe something doesn't make it true but not believing something just because billions believe it is just as much faith-based sillinesss as the former.
Both are logical fallacies, but you lean on the first one. You constantly resort to an appeal to the majority and an appeal to experts, without looking at their premises and instead focusing on their proselytizing remarks that gloss over their premises.

Yeah, yeah.  Hate America.  Love Putin.  Got it
If you think non state actors aren't motivated to create ransom ware that earns them millions of dollars, you are a retard.

I’m not going to insult you by pretending you are dumb enough to believe this.
There is a small number of people that shape public opinion. I'm not going to insult you by pretending you are dumb enough to not know that their are influential people who can shape public opinion.

  • Fallacy of just trusting the masses? I believe you are referring to argumentum ad populum, which I don’t recall anyone in this thread making.

You literally have. You directly stated that if most people believe something, that makes it true, particularly if they are well educated in their field.

If covid is a hoax the entire world would have to be in on it
The term hoax here means "mistaken". So to believe that large swarms of people cannot be mistaken is a cognitive bias towards public opinion. This is the liberal hive mind in action.  You are no better than the hive mind Republicans who jack off to the statue of liberty or American flag

You only say that because you are ignorant about the nature of the testing.  Polymerase Chain Reaction tests for COVID and Flu both have excellent specificity and exclusivity- no competent health professional would mistake a COVID chain for a flu chain and almost of health professionals would have to be involved to disguise flu chains for COVID.

My block has 3 emergency room nurses from different hospitals who would have required significant intervention just to get those women t pretend to work 80 hour weeks for this past year

Well then you would have the documentary responsibility to show massive layoffs in the healthcare industry, which would be easy to document if it weren't the 180 degree opposite of true.  The truth is that the healthcare industry has been devastated by the epidemic and has been desperate for help since the pandemic began.

Claims of Satan worship always begin with false witnesses like you and only last for long among the most ignorant and gullible populations.

I didn't say malevolent like you, I said false like you.  You inferred malevolence which gives us a pretty good read on your own self-perception.

That billions believe something doesn't make it true but not believing something just because billions believe it is just as much faith-based sillinesss as the former.

I know you won't understand this but America is built on trusting the wisdom of consensus, not a belief that the consensus is infallible or even necessarily well-informed but that consensus must be respected as wise.  I trust the scientific method and repeatable results and rely heavily on experts who follow the same methodology.

Scientists and Democrats don't take any premise for granted or proselytize.  I have never tried to convert you--I have only tried to demonstrate that you a willfully and persistently wrong on almost every subject.

Yeah, yeah.  Hate America.  Love Putin.  Got it
If you think non state actors aren't motivated to create ransom ware that earns them millions of dollars, you are a retard.
If you think Putin permits pirates to live inside the protection of his military's firewalls without paying tribute to the king and obeying that king's commands, then you are as misinformed as ever. There are no squatters living rent-free on Russian or Chinese networks (or many other nations' networks, for that matter), since that kind of activity is easy to detect within a well-monitored network.  Even on the deep dark web it is pretty hard to survive for long without some kind of govt's protection.  That's why as soon as the American CNServers refused to guard VanwaTech's  IP addresses anymore because of corrupting influences of Jim Watkin's QAnon/8kun/Stormfront server operating out of the Phillipines, VanwaTech switched to the Russian Ministry of Defence's DDoS-Guard.

We don't know what we don't know. I think scientists 20 years ago also thought that no popularly held belief among them could be wrong as well. I have recently seen news articles where the CDC has asked hospitals to stop using certain tests because of false positives.

Well then you would have the documentary responsibility to show massive layoffs in the healthcare industry, which would be easy to document if it weren't the 180 degree opposite of true.  The truth is that the healthcare industry has been devastated by the epidemic and has been desperate for help since the pandemic began.
I think we talked about this before. It's possible that different areas were effected by the pandemic differently. Rural places that canceled elective surgeries for example, struggled and responded with layoffs and hospital closures. It exposed a weakness in our for profit hospital system. As you also know rural places are often well insulated from the same type of spread as densely populated areas and also might not see the same overwhelmed hospitals, and in fact especially during the beginning of this the pandemic had opposite effects on urban as on rural hospitals.

You mentioned a specific scenario. I speculated as to one possibility for why you could see those nurses racking up so much overtime.

I know you won't understand this but America is built on trusting the wisdom of consensus, not a belief that the consensus is infallible or even necessarily well-informed but that consensus must be respected as wise.  I trust the scientific method and repeatable results and rely heavily on experts who follow the same methodology.

It's not even easy to know where the consensus is. We just know what the experts of the particular administration and media choose to trot out to fit their narrative.

Also the scientific method is currently flawed. It has positivity bias because negative results are not reported and a large foundation of knowledge is not replicated but the original study is just taken as it is. Just look at the debates here between quality opponents. We don't see second studies to confirm a first one presented and in fact just see people arguing about methodology when their personal view disagrees with a study.

The scientific community is not ideally using the scientific method. Also science is a branch of philosophy and there are better ways of determining the truth than the scientific method anyway. For example using Bayes theorem . We'll se AI replace the scientific method shortly. Or atleast rest less on it than logic.

I also forgot to mention. Science often unconsciously uses the bias of prior probability
