first time playing but what does AWoL and scum mean?

early in the game is usually what is referred to as RVS, meaning random voting stage. We just kinda apply pressure randomly to get more information. 

My philosophy is that RVS is unnecessary, that we always have some information to go on.

yes it means mafia and no. This is like las Vegas. What happens here stays here while the game is in progress.

My reads are posted relatively with

confirmed town above the town line

then players listed from most likely town down to least likely

in DP1, the earlier join, the more town cred I give you

in DP1, early claims get more town cred

I try to link to relevant character and role info for new players

players below the AWoL line have yet to join

in DP1, I tend to pressure these first

and will frequently join a policy lynch for no-shows

players below the scum line are confirmed mafia

lowest name on the list is usually my top pick

for lynching

I do this list for my benefit first and the benefit of town second. 

Sometime I play little games within the list to provoke players

I would encourage others to do their own read lists

This one's off to a livelier start. I got the Moderna vaccine today and I'm experiencing strange drunk-like side effects, as if I've ten beers drank, so I'll not be contributing much tonight. So far I believe that I am not mafia, but I can't be certain I read my role right.
