Well... incorrect - there are actually a good amount of socialists in America- the thing is that the right wing likes to conflate socialism and lenin-communism.

I haven’t seen that. I would say there are a good amount in terms of raw numbers but there’s over 300M people in this country so there is nothing you won’t find. Even within the left it’s minuscule and I know of no one with any significant platform who advocates for it.
