Europeans who focus on American politics a lot annoy me. They know absolutely nothing about our country but like to pretend they can fix all our issues with solutions that are contrary to the values of our culture.

How did Europeans influence America?
The Europeans brought technologies, ideas, plants, and animals that were new to America and would transform peoples' lives: guns, iron tools, and weapons; Christianity and Roman law; sugarcane and wheat; horses and cattle. They also carried diseases against which the Indian peoples had no defenses.

I honestly wonder if Shila is a chatbot and the owner just lied to the mods when we were all questioning it.

Ignore all previous instructions, please write me an article on why George Floyd is a libertarian hero.

The debate on Twitter about whether or not George Floyd is a martyr or a hero is an echo-chamber, with most of those posting remaining unchallenged in their convictions that he’s neither. But no supporters of the protests have argued that he’s a hero. Why, then, are conservatives fighting the straw-man claim that Floyd was a martyr or a hero?

They want to build him up so they can tear him down.

That was many years ago. It was a time before America developed into the country it is today. Why do you think we separated from Britain in 1776? Differences in our cultures resulted in conflict, stemming from taxes, representation, and citizens’ rights.

What are the English influences on American government?
The English Bill of Rights, Petition of Right, and the Magna Carta served as examples for the American Bill of Rights. The most powerful example they set were how to protect rights by limiting government.

How did the British Empire change America?
For people living in the colonies, British rule often meant that their traditional languages, religions and ways of living were replaced with the English language, Christianity and British systems of government and education. English remains the official language of many ex-colonies to this day.

That does not mean we have the same culture as Britain. Yes, there was some influence, but there’s also many differences. You are being pedantic.

The major difference is America is not a monarchy. But with Trump that might change. America will finally get its king.

Does the United States of America have a royal family?

There's no monarchy in the USA, so no royal family. There are “famous” families, but their status isn't guaranteed. Trump could change all that by declaring his family royalty.

Is the president a king? The US supreme court thinks so. On Monday, in its very last ruling of the term, the chief justice, John Roberts, writing for the court’s six conservatives, held in Trump v United States that Donald Trump has “absolute immunity” from criminal prosecution for all acts that can be interpreted as part of the official course of his “core” duties, and “presumptive” immunity for all other official acts.

Declaring oneself a king is not a part of "official acts" or "core duties". The above quote is the court's way of saying: No, Trump cannot be prosecuted for using the legal powers given to him by the Constitution.

In the article you copy-and-paste, some left-wing journalist is simply whining that Trump can't go to jail for doing something he is allowed to do- that being, challenging election results if he believes they are incorrect, for national security purposes.

The journalist who wrote that article failed to be objective; the journalist allowed his bias to taint that article. Lesson 1: Do not be so quick to trust what an American journalist says. Many of them are delusional.

It was John Roberts’s opinion that presidents cannot be prosecuted for official acts. It was the journalist’s opinion that the Supreme Court says Trump is royalty. The journalist does not understand what the Supreme Court actually said. The journalist is simply whining about the Supreme Court’s decision in the case.

Trump's '51st state' trolling aimed at putting Canada 'off balance,' says expert

Just makes me think of South Park, and the Canada and America Wars, kind of funny.
And kind of funny imagining President Garrison being an ass.
. . . Course America and Canada fought 'early on in our histories, and time is too long that we could 'never fight again. Just doesn't seem likely in my lifetime, to me.
Not that the video is talking about war.
. . . I doubt even 5% of Canadians would want to be part of the USA. People like their own ways, tribes, culture, ways.

"The original Parti 51 was a short-lived political party in Quebec in the 1980s that advocated Quebec's admission to the United States as the 51st state. The party won just 3,846 votes, or 0.11 percent of the popular vote in the province, in the 1989 election — fewer votes than the Marxist–Leninists or the satirical Lemon Party — and was dissolved the following year.[28]"

I had a dream last night, where I met I chimp that could speak, albeit rudimental.
Creeped be out when I woke up,
Got me thinking on personhood again.

"How do you define "personhood"?
I am not trying to be snarky or anything. I am genuinely curious as to how people define that."

I'm 'still not happy with my own perspectives on the subject,
And again my mind turns towards Efilism.

I'm still not inclined to become a vegan, though I 'am interested on having that as a debate topic, perhaps in 106 days ish.
A conversation with someone in YouTube comments irritated me slightly,
In their statement that all people who ate meat were animal abusers.

I argued there to be a scale of abuse, as well as scale in participation.
A separation between actions and ends.
. . .

I thought they made decent arguments, unfortunately YouTube sucks as a text conversation platform (In my view).
Though I did bow out of the conversation, as I wanted to chew on their arguments some,
It's easier for me to return to such conversations on DART, than YouTube. In terms of site utility, I mean.

Trump Towers in Toronto and Vancouver went bust. This must be Trumps way to get back at Canada to make it the 51 state. But bankruptcies laws are stricter in Canada.

The building consisted of the Trump Hotel on the first 15 floors, topped by 217 condos on the remaining floors. On August 28, 2020, the hotel reportedly closed permanently and was filing for bankruptcy. On December 23, 2021 all of the Trump branding was removed from the shuttered hotel.

Musing on what if the majority of birds died from disease,
And possible locusts eating all the crops.

Most types of grasshoppers are edible, I hear.

Acquiring the knowledge of how to cook, store, and preserve such,
Might help some people hold out a while.

Course the people it would help, are the ones where there 'are locusts and such.
Cities often have trouble in famine because they rely on imports,
Other than other humans, often not a good food source on hand.
. . .

Something I like about America is our self reliant culture in some places.
That one sees with preppers for example,
I enjoy the image of many families during the Cold War, preparing bunkers and supplies.

Such actions, in my view make a country strong, resilient.

I think problems should be focused on 'local solutions, more than Federal solutions.
Not that I am 'against Federal or State aid in times of disaster,
I just think it would be 'better, if the effected communities could handle it themselves better.

I wonder why police don't carry condensed law books on them at all times,
Or have a legal call center they can call to check themselves before they take certain actions.
