It's interesting how we variously appreciate sensory input.

And amphetamines make you grind your teeth. LOL

I had a work mate who was always popping uppers, and his antics used to have us in stitches.

popping uppers?
Is that like looking up while making plosive popping sounds with my lips?

No, I know, just being outside the box in the cold.

When I have the rare migraine, I play Led Zeppelin, full volume, with headphones, with my 600 RMS/channel amp. Kills it every time.

That's another way of popping uppers....Might be just as amusing in the right circumstances.

And for sure, music is good medicine.

Hindemith - Symphonic Metamorphosis

Reger - Piano Concerto in F minor (the second movement is particularly good, IMO)

Schubert - Der Erlkönig (Lieder)

Mahler - Symphony No. 9 (Would recommend this if you're newer to classical music)

Chopin - Nocturne Op. 37 No. 2 (One of my favorite Chopin Nocturnes)

when I was a kid, the priests in our church would sing the lord's prayer in latin to the mass.

I have had songs stuck in my head but this is beyond that. It's so hypnotic for reasons beyond my comprehension.

@RatMan

Pretty little Asian Girl with an a typical voice and tune that failed to hypnotise me.

But I'm an old fart.

Give me some quality prog-rock musicians any day of the week.

What is a 'typical tune' and how does progressive rock not have typical commonalities in its genre?

True.

The music industry, is what it is I suppose....Creating and selling a music based product.

Griff is a typical modern music product....Pretty Girl singing catchy lyrics, to a catchy studio produced sound....Promoted with a pseudo-meaningful video.

Old Prog Rockers  will fill venues night after night, simply because of their quality musicianship....I doubt very much that Griff will be doing the same in 30 or forty years time.
