watched the first ep of The Stand and thought it sucked. I can guess I can cut losoe CBS for 2021.
I am not too sure about it either. It's definitely a network issue... They kind of plow through big character moments, and don't give them their proper credit. There's no tension or build up. They are taking the script extremely literally it seems. Also if you hadn't read the books, the time switches are probably really confusing and take you out of the moment. The book doesn't warp back and forth like a Tarantino film like that lol. It's a straight narrative, that builds with character development and the way they are directing this completely takes you out of it. Acting is only okay.
Idk, I'll keep watching it because I read the books, but I definitely understand why you would not like it. The show would have been better off if it was picked up by a network like AMC, or HBO. With a bigger budget they could make the show awesome. If you ever want a good read though, I definitely reccomend the book. Hell, even the 90's miniseries was probably directed a bit better than this.

On another note, fitting the theme, it kind of makes sense that a scum version of a role would be used over a town role wouldn't it, considering we're all crimes?

Why would it be named Antifa? The role function, sure, but I don't see why you would go from a crime as the character to an organization as the role
