I don't have any initial reads or scum reads so far. Idk if Speed was joking with his character claim or what not, but if that is his character, I have a slight FoS if everyone's role is related to Xmas.

Might also be a soft claim from Speed, but I'm unclear on that one.

Alright, figured it might just be a joke, but I'm scrutinizing everything.

I think at least a partial claim would provide some information to go off of for the next DP. Doubt we'll be lynching anyone in DP1, but I see some value in being able to better interpret whatever happens during NP1.

Why are we trying to force a character claim on me at the moment. I don't have a problem claiming and will do so right now, I am Santa Clause.

I don’t base it on anything you’ve said, just on the pursuit of information. I’ve learned from previous games that we stand to lose a lot by limiting available information because we’re simply to nervous or uninterested in getting a claim for whatever reason. Call it overcompensation in the other direction, but my experience with Draft in your game is a large part of the reason I’m doing this. Will be happy to pursue a claim from him later for the same reason, but for now,

I disagree with you on this. There's no reason for mafia to Nk a Hated when it works to their advantage because if that Hated were to live, 1 vote by mafia and the game will be over. We must lynch the Hated at some point. It does not have to be this DP, but if we don't have a conclusive lynch, I am not throwing the option away.

Yea. I will maintain the position that early character claims do nothing for town besides cause unneeded paranoia, but if pressured for a character, I will claim. But I am still anti claim if it isn't SOP on DP1

forgot about game just skimmed over dp so far. i don't think we should policy lynch hated, especially if they could be a jester trying to make some 200 iq move which could be possible when we already have an innocent child. my role has nothing to do with christmas but i think i have a good idea of the theme. ill be back in a few hours.

All Hated Town does is make MYLO/LYLO happen one phase earlier than otherwise.

But, guess what, when you mislynch a townie you're making MYLO/LYLO happen one phase earlier than otherwise.

So lynching the Hated or letting it live is mechanically the same.

But you just explained why they're not mechanically the same.

If you lynch hated TOWN it's mechanically the same.

But Magic's affiliation isn't for sure town. So it's not mechanically the same. I should know cause I put a hated scum in one of my games once.

Not sure what words sound sus, but you do you.

Haven't gotten food with Mikal yet. In general, haven't done a lot of traveling recently (partly due to COVID concerns and partly due to still working on setting things up in the new apartment), though I still mean to get out there one of these days.

Why would u ask if speed softclaimed? If he wanted town to know he softclaimed he'd tell us. Otherwise you're either 1) letting mafia know Speed softclaimed, or 2) ur sucm trying to fish for a claim with no pressure.
