@drafterman
Hi there!

Yeah, I think it would be possible if we discussed every detail regarding how it should look and work in every specific case.

Could you please create a new topic for that? Just to see what other people think and propose on this matter?

New changes:

We now have a really RAW friends system, at this point it's basically something cosmetic but it will improve with time.

PS: If you notice some weird behaviour, please let me know. It took me quite a while to implement it and there still may be some bugs that I didn't catch.

A good idea would be to have Platinum medals as well as Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

Recommendation: Allow users to report votes, and moderators to remove votes, on "judicial decision" debates. I don't think it seems to be currently allowed.

Originally I wanted the site to stay orange and gray, but now I think you should change the orange to purple. Ask the community about it.

My logic was that if you assign the judges, there is no need to moderate them. Especially considering that the judges debates don't affect the rating anyway.

I strongly disagree with judged-debates not affecting rating.

I also disagree with this -- even if you appoint judges you trust, you're just making a probabilistic assessment and they could still give a bad vote.

You're wrong about the first part and so was DDO.

New changes:

1) Added a header link to the blog, the blog that nobody writes to :/

2) Added a way for the mods to remove a right for publishing debate comments.

3) Added a simple test decoration effect for the forum post avatars. Works only for my avatar, at the moment, because I didn't want to force it on anyone but It will be probably used, combined with some other effects, as a reward for the donations and since we don't have any, looks like I am gonna be the only one having it :/

I think overall, the site is fine programming wise. These are implementations that are unique(metals, new subforums)

I have a sort of list here

Sub Forum Related
-Announcements(remove propaganda)
-Memes
-Advertisment
-Creative(certain people are allowed to publish a topic so they can get direct attention for it vs cluttering it up in subsections)
-Awards(the DART Awards were a hit, why not make a separate forum for them)
-Mafia(mafia is a culture in DDO and DART, so a different sub forum would be neat)
-Games(talk about video games, not mafia)

Remove Sub Forums
Cars
Fashion
Nature

Debate
-CX built in to the debate if enabled
-2v2

What do you mean remove propaganda?

-Advertisment
Hmm?

-------------

The forum restructuring will be done at some point, that's on the list.

What's CX though?

Cross Examination.

What do you mean remove propaganda?
Once Group PMs get developed, we should not clutter Propaganda and Group PMs. It is too much info on one screen and won't look aesthetically pleasing. Announcements is a more beneficial way of relaying info to others

Hmm?
Is this a confused hmmm or a "not a bad idea hmm?" xD

Can you please elaborate on CX?

You lost me here. Announcements and group PMs are completely different things. The word propaganda was used a joke to describe why we need global announcements.

I am not sure what you mean by advertisements. Add the ads to the website?

Cross Examination is a period in policy debate where the an opponent can ask questions to build off arguments or to ask a clarifying question to help improve arguments.

Example of a CX:

Person A: What is the Condition of the CP?
Person B: *responds with the condition*

Person A: What is the Impact to your DA
Person B: *responds with the impact*

Person A: How could your Impact be viable when blah blah blah
Person B: *responds to the question*

It is a period to built yourself and challenge the arguments they made. I believe it would be good to implement it

You lost me here. Announcements and group PMs are completely different things. The word propaganda was used a joke to describe why we need global announcements.
Prpoganda is implemented in the message system? Am I correct?

We plan on having group PMs implemented sometime, correct?

This is too much clutter in the messaging part of the website. We need to transfer propaganda into a forum and not in the messages so things are less cluttered than what they are supposed to be. Any announcement like an update or mod policy may be posted in the "announcements" subforum
I am not sure what you mean by advertisements. Add the ads to the website?
No. I'm saying we should add something that users can advertise social media, art, books, music, etc.

Understood regarding the CX, sounds quite good, thanks!

Global announcements have nothing to do with PMs, they are just another kind of activities, not private messages so they shouldn't really clutter much.

No. I'm saying we should add something that users can advertise social media, art, books, music, etc.
Hm, like what? How would you want to see it?

I'd see a subforum 1st thing

There would a rules about advertising pinned to it...

Then people to advertise different things they would like to get noticed

I was thinking things like

-YouTube
-Instagram
-Twitter
-Books
-Clothing
-Art
-Poetry
-Website

And much more

It could be a community where people can build support off of each other and boost each other

I will add it to the list then :) Can't promise anything regarding the time limits though, I pick tasks randomly depending on how interesting they seem to implement.

After you reject a friend request it doesn't let you add the person meaning it's permanent, changing minds and evolving alliances mean we may want to add a person we rejected earlier.

No, once you reject it, the same person will not be able to send you another request only for ... I think 3 days, can't recall the exact number. It's against requests spamming.
