Eh, I'll never know how posters like you and HistoryBuff can intelligently debate half the subforum seemingly without fatigue.

I would post in this part of the site more if I weren't too lazy to battle the inevitable right-wing onslaught. Well, hat's off to you, anyway.

At the Impeachment, he rallied his troops and wouldn't even allow witnesses.  Is that even ANYTHING like justice?  To not even listen . . . ?

Maybe if Pelosi had Impeached the president on Bribery instead of "Obstruction of Congress," it wouldn't have been laughed at.

Obstruction of Congress is a bullshit charge to impeach a President considering it is the president's constitutional obligation to keep the Congress from having absolute power.

Show me the statute requiring a presidential candidate to release tax returns. It is merely tradition, but traditions are not requirements. TILT.

Trump is the only president that had to endure over 10 years of IRS audits. I don't blame him for not showing his returns.

It's possible he has 400 million dollars in unpaid debts, and it is possible Lady thinks that it means Trump has no assets.

For Trump, 400 million dollars of debt would be like owing 4000 dollars to a credit card company to you and me.
Not according to his tax returns reported in the New York Times.  His properties are losing money (hence his push to have foreign diplomats stay at his properties).  He has also had to pay millions in court fees and compensation because of court cases like his "fraudulent charity" case and his paid-for-but-never built condominiums.   I think he has much less than you think.  He only paid $750.00 dollars in total taxes each year in 2016 and 2017.  Who pays that little?  Just because his deals involve large dollar amounts, does mean he makes any money.  You know he's had several bankruptcies (6 between 1991 and 2009).  His businesses keep failing.  He talk a big story.  He uses other people's money build flashy things and then files for bankruptcy and leaves everyone hanging.

All of this may be true, but there is no possible way a TV reporter will reliably tell you what Trump's assets are.

Oh I absolutely agree with you there.  I couldn't believe it when I heard it.  I was so furious with Nancy Pelosi.   It was absolutely bribery!   I get angry at democrats a lot sometimes when they act like they have no spine at all.  I will say, they seem to have finally grown a "small pair" lately.  I hope it lasts.  The past 4 years it has always seemed like such an unfair fight, like watching a bully pick on the skinniest, weakest kid on the playground.

I did triple-check this one, but it was simply 3 different reporters from 3 different sources . . . so maybe not much help.

Conveniently ignores Democratic Supermajority Senate in 2008 with Democratic Speaker, with a Wing-Man as AG and then says Mitch and Barr work for Trump. Pelosi is a Goddess. At least HB admits he’s a liberal rather than a “moderate” who just hates Trump for while loving Obama who did the exact same thing

The IRS said no audit lasts that long.  That is an excuse that Trump uses so he never has to show them.  He wants to keep the audits going.

You don’t even have his tax returns lol. NYT refuses to release the records they supposedly obtained. You clearly don’t have a Business degree and don’t know how accounting works. Maybe take a class about it first rather than listening to the word of 3 “journalists” who probably haven’t done accounting or even math since college

You ever going to provide citations?

How long does an audit take?
The length varies depending on the type of audit; the complexity of the issues; the availability of information requested; the availability of both parties for scheduling meetings; and your agreement or disagreement with the findings.

Maybe you can blame Lois Lerner and Hussein for weaponizing the IRS against conservatives

I apologize and stand corrected:

NEW YORK TIMES:
Also hanging over him is a decade-long audit battle with the Internal Revenue Service over the legitimacy of a $72.9 million tax refund that he claimed, and received, after declaring huge losses. An adverse ruling could cost him more than $100 million.

New York Times:
This time around, he is personally responsible for loans and other debts totaling $421 million, with most of it coming due within four years. Should he win re-election, his lenders could be placed in the unprecedented position of weighing whether to foreclose on a sitting president.

Joe Biden is simply a very GOOD man.

If his policies are bad for America, being a good man means nothing to me.
They may not all be good, but for me, most of them are.  He is "promising" to do things I have long hoped for.  I don't know that he will do them.  But, at this point, I would probably vote for a paper sack over Trump.  Foreign Policy alone would be better with a paper sack.  I'm being silly, but I've gotta go.  I've rather enjoyed talking to you tonight.  Surprised me a little.  I hope I can get on again tomorrow.  Ciao!

Once again, you clearly don’t understand how financials work. It’s very common for campaigns and businesses to have debt. Think of it like credit card debt. If my networth is one million and my credit card debt is 5k, I’m still rich. Take a business class my friend. It really helps.

Funny how Obama’s DoD Secretary said Joe Biden is horrible on foreign policy matters.

I have to admit that was the cutest duck I've ever seen. Like hypnotically snowball-perfect.

So cute you're almost a little suspicious, actually. Like is this a duck... or a supervillain in disguise?

The real question is, if you saw that Duck at a Trump rally, would you pet it, or run in fear?

If you can do it, it ain't bragging. If you can't, you complain. Sorry, I prefer my side of that argument.

By the way, know that I am critical of anyone whose profile is "unknown." Kind of negates every argument, because no one knows from whence you come. Food for thought.

They did warn me not to pet Donald ducks.

But I just wouldn't be able to resist. Cute animals - I can't help myself.

I would, of course, pet the duck disguised as a shrub so as not to be seen in the company of MAGA hatters. I have my pride, you understand.

Wrong. What Trump asked for was a travel ban against six countries, none of which are 100% Muslims. He targeted those countries because they would not participate in vetting their own citizens who demonstrated excessive disregard for US policy. It was a nation ban, not a religious discrimination. Get your facts straight.

Wrong. He called for a "TOTAL AND COMPLETE SHUT DOWN OF MUSLIMS ENTERING THE UNITED STATES" in December of 2015,  and he said similar things many times. His campaign doubled down on it calling it "common sense" which Trump repeated on Fox News and elsewhere. You can Google it for yourself. The only reason I'm presenting this YouTube clip to you  is because I want to embarrass you after you had the audacity to speak to me in a condescending tone like that about how "wrong" I was when you are so blatantly and brazenly wrong.
