As for that "good town" debate, I really don't think that there are good town in the sense of win rates or scumhunting rates (I haven't counted but I don't think mine is all that hot lol) but I think good town is defined by being active and being logical

I doubt it. I don't think Pie would make the theme something as simple as Union vs. Confederates. It's possible, but I'm guessing the theme isn't quite that obvious.

With Speed's recent claim that makes the theme a bit harder to define. I have a couple of theories:
North vs. South Heritage
Good vs. Bad Generals (performance, morals, etc)

Both are possible. However, I find it's useless to speculate about the theme until we've seen some flips.
Then, of course, there is the possibility Speed is lying about his pro-town alignment. If we continue to get more Union town members that will be a good indicator of whether or not he is being truthful.

Don't count on it. Put yourself in the mafia's shoes. Would you claim Union or Confederate? Most would say Union because it sounds less suspicious. Consequently, the number of people who claim Union vs. Confederacy won't matter much unless more than 3 people claim Confederate, in which case we can rule out Union vs. Confederate as a possible theme.

That may be precisely the sort of reasoning he is counting on you having. Speed is quite experienced from my understanding and knows admitting Confederate wouldn't be a huge scum tell. That said I don't want to jump to hasty conclusions so I'm going to wait and see what the others say
Also just to point it out, not sure we should insta town read oro or Supa from the PM gambit because it's likely that scum got town PM structure. Does anyone know if Pie does that?

I'd only claim confederate as scum if I knew for a fact that Union v Conf isn't the theme (AKA I can tell from fellow scum PMs that it's not the theme or the mod tells the scum team outright what the theme is)
Otherwise I'd either claim union or try to wait it out to see if anyone else claims confederate

It's fairly obvious now that there isn't a theme split with Confederacy. I don't want to get too much into theme in this DP though

Agreed. I think too much time was wasted on the theme in the last game. Let's not repeat that mistake.
I also am going to disregarding a good vs bad split in this as well according to my PM. My person was a good general in some aspects
