Face Palm Moment:

Supa: "I think Shab would be Vanilla"
Grey: "You're right, I'm Shab and I'm Vanilla."
Supa: "You must be scum."

That drove me nuts, too. It made zero sense that scum would fake claim a character when there was no thematic split.

It was moreso that Supa FOS'd someone because Supa himself correctly guessed a Character-Role association.

Because GP was dying instead. Why did you kill him instead of Zaradi, though?
No real reason, GP was more unpredictable tho and sussed me more

Because GP was dying instead.
Didn't realize that governor redirected instead of stopped the lynch (governor was in my role list), so that whole DP my brain was thinking we would be at MYLO, so I didn't want people wondering why I wasn't dead the next DP

I should've just gone with the flow though

Yeah, I also found it surprising that there was still role/mechanics confusion in a game where everything is explicit public knowledge.

Also, I think this game goes to show that people don't know what the hell combinations are actually "OP"

In DP2, there was an argument about whether Masons imbalanced the game.

Yep. What was your plan with asking everyone to list their top 2 suspects?

I think the game was fairly balanced. Scum had no real active roles other than messaging, but town also had no real investigative roles except Mason, which is one shot and dies if they hit scum.

The primary actions (governor and restless spirit) basically depend on the skills and abilities of whoever has them.

BP is just passive and there to give the town a slight edge, but also limit the ability of Mafia to know if they hit the Turn Coat.

The Turn Coat basically fills a TP slot. Normally mafia doesn't know about them and they don't learn about the mafia, but the Spy's ability negate that. Mafia wouldn't have been able to distinguish between a NK that failed because the BP was hit or because the Turncoat turned. At least not initially.

I suppose I didn't expect the TP to outright claim, as the only sensible thing to do is lynch them.

Yeah, the game was fairly balanced. I don't think oromagi's claim was smart on his part. Had he said nothing, he would have had an easy win.

I would love to dip into an alternative universe where he didn't claim because that would have changed the hole dynamic. Almost certainly Speed would have used his message ability to try and find the Turn Coat but then it's a risk. Do you message them hoping they want to flip or risk them wanting to stay town and outing you?

Also, no one was "confirmed" at that point. The masons confirm each other, yes, but only to themselves. Confirming them to town requires one to die. BP is never confirmed.

Speed and Ragnar were pretty good in figuring out who was who, and this is a setup where readily claiming can hurt.

If it's your opinion then it isn't objective.🤣

I still wouldn't risk it, but I'm a conservative player.

Definitely. That's why I didn't until the end. I'm honestly surprised no one was scumreading me. An unclaimed, highly active player who was driving the town, despite admitting to being inexperienced and bad at scumhunting? I would have been suspicious of me.
