Pre-med college student chasing dreams with a scalpel and a spark. Optimist, realist, and chaotic dreamer—yup, all at once. I don't follow philosophies; I create my own. Labels like MBTI can’t define me, and astrology? Nah, not my thing. Passions? Learning everything that sparks my soul—tech, hacking, music, singing, dancing, painting, arts, crafts, you name it.
My life’s soundtrack? Every genre, every mood. My aesthetic? All vibes, all shades. Oh, and guilty pleasure? Wasting time—proudly.
My motto: I’ll make as many people laugh as I can so I have a hell lot of people crying on my departure. This is me—Vi. Ready to conquer, create, and vibe through life.

Hello. I'm very new here but quite interested in getting involved with this community and debating/discussing various topics on this website. I just updated my profile and figured out how to actually make a post on a forum, so I'm slowly learning the reins here. Does anyone know how I can enter "open" debates, accept challenges, or something of that nature?
Forgot to mention a few things:
- First year university student, majoring in philosophy and political science
- I love to sing, read, write, and 'occasionally' indulge in particular vices such as gambling.

There are standard debates and rated debates. You can accept standard ones. For rated, you first have to complete about 3 standard debates.
Or just start your own standard debate with topic and maybe definitions.

Howdy all you folks of DebateArt. I'm Briguy. I am a welder/fabricator who dabbles in most trades. I play fiddle and banjo and love a good game of chess. I am an ex Seventh Day Adventist who holds on to christian beliefs. I was a proud member of DDO until it rudely got taken over by trolls and bots. This place takes me back to when it was better there haha. I like to argue interesting topics and will take anyone on in a rap battle haha. Yep Islam.

700 years or so after the Christian reinvention.
2500 years or so after Abraham the Judean kicked it all off.
And no doubt, Abraham based his story on a previous story that was based upon a previous story etc etc.
Essentially, religion was a system of people management, based upon a naive creation and existence hypothesis and also a lot of threat, abuse and violence.
And sadly as we are all too aware, in certain places it still is based upon a lot of threat, abuse and violence.
But of course, all religions are the religion of peace. LOL.

Undeniably.
I have some good friends who follow the Islamic religion.
I prefer to call people people and regard Muslim as a secondary label, though I am always respectful, if I get the same in return.
When it comes to creation and existence hypotheses, I am an agnostic atheist but can run with all ideas, though the old magic man in the sky is difficult to take seriously. Whereas an interventionist super-intelligence is somewhat more feasible, though still logistically impractical.
Of course all ideas stumble at the first hurdle...Which is creating something from nothing.
And I must ask this.
