Incentivizing voting

Given that Ragnar and Ramshutu are consistent voters. I would like to see some form of reward for voting in debates. I don't know what and would think it would help you know reduce the burden on the both of them and give new voices to the voting period instead of the same people (No problemo with Ragnar or Ramshutu voting and I think it is best they are voting the most but it would look better for the site if more people decided to vote). Basically an every week voting contest or whatever. Something to make people want to vote.

Any thoughts on how to do this?

personally i don't like voting myself. But ya i would like to see more variety of people voting.

The votes on debates should be anomynous. so  peoples vote  are not influenced by other peoples votes.

But what would happen if you won the contest what reward would be received?

I don't know. It is a discussion thread not my finding the cure to voter drought.

How about having a leaderboard for most amount of votes? 

Lets say the people who are consistently voting the most are the ones given more power to decide on what the voting criteria should change too and can possibly be give guides sponsored by moderation team or owner. 

I ran a voting competition a few months ago.

I would like something to incentivize me and others to vote outside competition.

I look for debates to vote on on a regular basis but not many of them are interesting are even worth reading in the first place. A quick glance at the ones in the voting section right now shows the usual batch of religious debates, music battles, and borderline spam 

Just vote for the ones with FF, lol

If we incentivized voting, that would most likely be what would happen

I'm guilty of the music battle part, but yeah I wish we had more high-end debaters going head to head, like whiteflame and tej. It's why I'm going to start challenging older members for debates from now on, even if I rack up a losing streak.

Minecraft is great. I am too busy trying to find a lot of diamonds. Must have found 12. Only mined 3. Waiting to reach level 30 to get the best upgrades. 

Eh, Minecraft is basically the gaming version of DDO. Community is cancer. Terraria is a lot better.
