In fact the passage in question shows that in those days employers used physical punishment to discipline their (non-slave) employees.  That might seem barbaric,but it had the advantage of giving an alternative to sacking.

That is how the Arabs controlled their African slaves for 1,300 years and Christians controlled their African slaves for 400 years. Today Aftica is the rape, AIDS, crime, poverty, starvation centre of the world. Africans were happier then as slaves.

Are you kidding?  Oh, I understand, even though the passages in question in the New Testament, as shown in this thread, states with specificity that Jesus does condone slavery and the beating of slaves, you just can't accept this biblical axiom, therefore you have to erroneously say no, it is not true!

We get it, but that separates a TRUE Christian like myself that "has to accept Jesus condoning slavery" and a FAKE Christian like you that has to call Jesus a LIAR in Him not condoning slavery.

Hmmmmm, calling Jesus a LIAR is Blaspheme and committing the UNPARDONABLE SIN!  Sorry Doc Frank, you are now Hell bound upon your earthly demise, all because you have now called our Jesus a LIAR in going against His "Spirit" part of His Triune!!!!!

Doc Frank obviously has a "death wish" to have committed the UNPARDONABLE SIN against Jesus in calling Him a LIAR as shown in this thread.  Then when your facts about Doc Frank come to the forefront about him calling Jesus those despicable names, then it is a given that Doc Frank put the last candle upon the proverbial cake in what happens to him upon his demise where HE IS HEADED FOR THE SULFUR LAKES OF HELL UPON HS DEMISE because of committing the Unpardonable Sin for sure!!!!

What concerns me about Franklin is he is a Catholic. There are over a billion Catholics like him. Your patience with him will be rewarded.
if you read his confession you would know he has several very sore wounds from relationships that failed. A whoopee cushion offers him only temporary relief so you imagine the rest.

I did my research on African history and slavery before I knew who Ethang was. He must have been offended after he read it and started attacking Harikrish and Hindus. So I checked his past posts and found out  he was an African living and working in Ghana Africa. I posted his confessions which annoyed him even more.
