Hi guys! At 8:30 PM EST I will be debating Matt Yeaster, a moderator on carm.org's forum and discord server, on the topic "Is Jesus the Jewish Messiah?" I to see you all there. This debate will be broadcasted on YouTube via hangouts on air. Please join us! There will be a Q&A following the debate. The structure is as follows:

Affirmative Case - 20 mins

Negative case - 20 mins

Affirmative CX Negative - 10 mins

Negative CX Affirmative - 10 mins

5 minute break

Affirmative Rebuttal/Close - 10 mins

Negative Rebuttal/Close - 10 mins

Total time: 85 mins. 

This will be an exciting debate! 

If you can pls mention to him that you know a guy who thinks Jesus is actually Lucifer and that the link between OT characters and NT is that Satan is actually god of the OT while Lucifer is the more disciplined 'punish forever and lover forever' type of justice-system supporter.

Lucifer didn't like how OT God would just punish willy nilly and not have any absolute justice system or way of being a 'good guy' etc. This explains also how it's very possible that Lucifer then, when he became the holy ghost after Jesus' body died, went on to become Allah and discuss things with a human he possessed.

The battle in the Abrahamic religions is between 2 villains; one all-powerful but infinitely bored (Satan/OT-God) and the other severely disciplined and believing in brutal absolutes (Lucifer/Jesus/Allah).

Satan represents compromise and hedonism, Lucifer represents absolute morality and discipline respectively. The snake in the garden of Eden was OT God, not Lucifer.

I am genuinely certain that if the Bible is true, this is the correct series of events.

the TV series "Lucifer" is representing Satan, not Lucifer.

Lol. Lucifer/the Devil does not exist. In traditional Judaism, Satan is an angel of God who has the mission of tempting people and being the prosecutor before the heavenly court. Angels do not have free will and thus are not fallen.

Yeah. How long should cases generally be? 

I would say 9 minutes max. If you feel you can handle twenty minutes, be my guest. I'll try to tune in.

Yeah - though this is a theological/philosophical debates which tend to be longer. Look at debates with Bart Ehrman or Tovia Singer. Cases can be 30 mins long and the full debate can take up to 2.5-3 hours. 

Lucifer is not the Devil. The Devil is the enemy of Jesus and Allah. The Devil is the God of the OT in my theory.

Lucifer Morningstar, much like Jesus, is seen as a 'lightbearer' of a divine kind but isn't directly divine himself.

Satan/Shai'tan... The Devil/Iblis is a beast. A brutally 'dark' angel (of darkness vs angel of light who was Lucifer) with a much more persuasive way about gaining loyalty than the signature means of gaining followers that Lucifer uses (which is bullying and brute force).

God is with us, through His Word and Spirit.

Calvinists know that in the end God is the ultimate creator of sin, at least they are honest. I hope you debate well.

I would say that in the points where Calvinist Christianity and Orthodox Christianity differ, Orthodox Christianity would be closer to Judaism.

In my experience, Orthodox Christians seem to be more offended at Calvinism than any other form of protestant Christianity.
