So I'm Doing a Nuzlocke

What is a nuzlocke?

Here's my specific rule set:

1. If a Pokemon faints, it's considered dead.

     a. Species Family Clause- I may exit encounters until I find a Pokemon from an evolutionary family that I have not caught a Pokemon from yet if I             choose to do so. Example: If I catch a Bidoof, all future Bidoof and Bibarel I find upon my first new route encounter may be passed over if I                 want to refrain from catching them.

     b. Shiny Clause- I may catch any shiny Pokemon I find.

     c. Legendary Clause- I may catch any Pokemon that are encounted outside of normal means. Example: The Red Gyrados in Pokemon Gold                 and Silver Versions.

3. If I lose a battle, it's game over.

Vaarka, how did your Nuzlocke go?

I got to the Elite 4 and then the emulator updated and wiped my save

Details: I had a full party, barely. I didn't lose too many pokemon (I think 8), but I had a lot of trouble catching them. Kept critting my first encounters. I'm now trying to write a story based off the nuzlocke, but without the very ending, it's... gonna be interesting. 

Yu-Gi-Oh is better.

Updated roster?

Diamond is the only version I ever played as a kid.

Gen IV was also known to be the most difficult of all the Pokemon games.

I'll get the roster update as soon as I find my 3DS.

Anyways, it really sucks losing Princess. I was going to use her against Flint once I got to the Elite Four. Definitely the most important loss so far.

What Pokemon game? 

Pokemon Diamond.

I thought it would be emerald or something so I would said just simply play it on an emulator. They have save states when you don't want to use the save system in game and reduce the time it takes in between out and inside the game. Instead of booting up the game you can simply load the state and start straight when you saved the state. Lets say you are just outside a shop where you restore the health of your Pokemon. You can simply save state. Close the window then open the window back. Load the state and you will be loading at the very position you saved the state. Removing the loading times. This can also be used as a second way to save if you are having difficulties. 

Lol, I misspoke in post 13. I meant to say that I only ever played crystal. I guess I accidently typed diamond as a sort of freudian slip after reading you say diamond was the version you were using.

That and the fact that diamonds and crystals are basically the same thing. Both just shiny rocks after all, right?

UPDATE: Rocky, a Lv. 40 Onix, has died.

Crap. I was going to use him against Flint and Aaron once I got the Elite Four. This death sucks even more than Princess's death.

Also, I made it to Snowpoint City. The journey was brutal.
