(wouldn't this be more of an investigation check? Would i be able to impart the pattern to others if correct and guarantee their safe passage or otherwise make it more likely?)

(do you have a dagger or sword on you? If you do try to pry or smash the floorboards then pry open what's exposed if anything. We gotta try that real quick then hightail it back down and up thru the stairs to first floor and out where Roberts and Earth made it if that fails.)

(Sure, a person could study the blades for someone else, but it's still three separate checks)

RAW under "working together" is

"a character can only provide help if the task is one that he or she could attempt alone."

This could honestly go either way though cause though assessing the blades can be done alone, I'm puzzled as to how it would be working together and not realistically one person coaching another instead/making that check themselves in lieu of the other doing so.)

(Yeah, that's the same issue I was having with the idea. How it would realistically be assistance, rather than coaching or commanding ex: "jump now")

(It's was an Intel check when Drafter mistakenly did it, so me or kinder would prob make the most sense.

@Drafter, would Kindertina or I be better at studying the blades. By that i mean who would have the higher bonus?)

(I'm confused why it's not an investigation check and just straight intelligence, but given that, yeah she prolly does have a higher one.

I have inspiration so I'll probably check for myself and use that to ensure it if that's what we decide.

Honestly though, I think our best bet is to try to pry the floorboards up and get to a lower floor, or just go back down the attic stairs and up the stairs to the first floor.

(we should have probably just turned around to begin with tbh. If any of us gets hit by the blades we're likely to be too damaged to survive even a jump from the second floor and the light damage that would do. Plus the windows have been bricked from what Drafter relayed, so jumping out the second floor might not even be an option.

Honestly, given second thought. I think we should just stop trying to get out this way cause its wasting time and go straight for the way Roberts and Grahf did.)

Your Wisdom (Perception) check lets you spot, hear, or otherwise detect the presence of something. It measures your general awareness of your surroundings and the keenness of your senses [link]

When you look around for clues and make deductions based on those clues, you make an Intelligence (Investigation) check

It seems like either could honestly be used in this situation tbh

We need to stop this and take the way Grahf and Roberts took. Maybe they had better luck, but we're not having much here and it doesn't look like we have much time to keep trying to find a way down.
