The Chinese definitely have the cultural edge. Americans and UKers lost all sense of what it meant to look out for their fellow country-man.

And simply in terms of the species and societies, prosperity is variously defined.
Scientifically, there is nothing various about the definition. Luddites and Malthusians hold the majority stock in extinction theories, yet ironically they are the very ones going extinct due to their lack of progress. It's only natural that they gather moss because their stones refuse to roll.

@WyIted
you were already debunked in that thread by several people
What a disingenuous crock of shit.

First of all, I pasted the wrong thread. Did you even click on it or were you just responding off of your fabricated memory?

This is the thread I meant to post. The first was in regards to the oral arguments. This is the ones post decision in the thread you started beginning with the post where I first chimed in.

Notice how no where in this thread did anyone engaging with me even attempt to explain how or why my interpretation of the ruling was wrong. Cristo attacked my position as "melodramatic" and you just quoted a snippet of the majority opinion without any regards to how the rest of what they said rendered it meaningless.

What are you getting at, Shirley? Didn't you know that failure is just part of the learning process for entreprenuers?

Whatever it is, Trump is still millionaire and president of the US, and very likely for the third time. Lol.

Well, not quite what I meant.

But Luddites rejected mechanisation because they feared it would reduce their prosperity, such as it was.

Whereas progressives realised the benefit of mechanisation in terms of efficiency, cost and therefore their prosperity.

As I always stress in such conversations, the necessary outcomes of intellectual evolution are unknown...That's if there are any to be striven for.

I'm guessing that wealth disparity and all that it entails, is the crux of your take on prosperity...Which is seemingly the natural order of things.

So we will have to wait and see whether or not rolling stones will eventually end up in a heap, or in a state of universal perfection.

But what we do know, is that currently the life of any stone is only worth a nanosecond of universal time.

And then AI...?
