I'm not arguing for this anymore this DP, just putting it out there. Mass character claims are good when enough of the following are true: 

  1. there is a theme split
  2. the pool of characters is limited (could be a hard or soft limit)
  3. character - role connections are not clear
If scum are forced to claim early, they open themselves up to counter claims; or they claim their real role, and out themselves through thematic analysis; or they have to claim an obscure character, which looks scummy; or they claim something off-theme, which looks scummy. 

If the character - role connections are not clear, this also does not give away power roles.

I get your point on mass character claims, I'm just not convinced that my role in particular cannot be intuited easily. Maybe the rest of you are more difficult to determine. If enough people support it, I'll acquiesce.

It's too late this DP but next DP I want to go through with testing Vader's role.
Too late? We've got almost 36 hours left. We can do that if we wish and I'm good with it.

I wish I was engaged in this game, the theme kills my motivation to play. Bullish's reaction to being pushed feels real, pretty dramatic. Wanting to move the game is town play,  I like the thought put into the latest defense of character claiming. Hope Bullish is not engaging in theater.

That's just the thing though, I think my character gives away my role, and from what I gather, WF's character is also strongly suggestive of his role. So no, I don't want us to mass claim.

I don't think both pies would be scum just one and I know everyone is like "but how would that work". Obviously the scum pie is not aware of his scum partner otherwise it would interfere with town pie playing to his wincon. If I was Pie and scum I would NK myself to just simplify the game and because I would see myself as a threat to myself
