What I decided, is that I feel terribly embarrassed for America, by that meeting.

I feel the same way.

We held up this Zelensky guy to be some folk hero, turns out he is an ungrateful scam artist. 3 whole years. Embarrassing.

Trump was upset he did not get a deal over rare earth minerals from Zelensky. He promised there would be a signed deal by the Friday visit by Zelensky.

The guy got paid 150 billion dollars over the past 10 years, and couldn't be bothered to rent a suit to visit our president....

He was dressed for war. The White House  misread his appearance.

People in charge and dressed for war wear suits. Have you never seen a military commander?
He was dressed like a foot soldier who takes orders.

The American military commanders were all dressed during their embarrassing withdrawal from Vietnam and Afghanistan while the American President was saluting their retreat.

Now everyone knows you can defeat USA in war by just dragging it into endless struggle until its population gets bored of new war and orders military to run away in shameful display of cowardice.

Once Hollywood comes out with an Oscar winning version of American victory. The U.S. military declares mission accomplished and withdraws.

USA has very low win rate in wars despite investing more in military than all other countries combined. Maybe its time for USA to give up on its goals of winning wars and dominating the world, and do something they are actually good at (to avoid similar embarassments in the future).

Every airline captain has come across a copilot or (actually more common) a flight attendant who thought they were in charge. Eventually, that person comes up against something called reality.

America is good at making Hollywood movies. But it needs a good script and wars that end badly are not suitable. That is where we get into Hollywood fiction.

Why was zelenaky saying that we are separated by a blue ocean but we would feel the effects of this war?

We can literally just nuke anybody who tries to make us feel the effects

I think Zelensky tried to do as Macron but he ended up hitting against the wall.

Whatever it is, Ukraine is fucked with Zelensky leading the country. It's time to change the leader, otherwise the only winner would be the armament industry (managed by the deep state).

I think all three individuals are high ranking members of their respective countries.

I do not think that Zelensky was willing to kiss Trumps ass,
No matter the amount of Vance insisting that Zelenskyy should verbalize such during the meeting.

I do not think two on one interrupting, insulting, and disrespecting, is tough.

I'm not sure it makes 'sense for Ukraine to trade it's minerals to America for a temporary ceasefire with Russia.
But I'm also not sure it makes sense for America to put boots on the ground in Ukraine to back them up.

I'm not against American aid of supplies and funds,
Some supplies we are looking to upgrade from, others we want to observe being tested in war.
Some funds we might expect to get back.

Having an ally we can use to observe what is effective an ineffective in war is valuable.
Not letting war mongering nations other than ourselves expand, is valuable.

Something people are unable to see is that Trump does really want a final solution but Zelensky is not cooperating. It's just a matter of calculating the pros and cons of either continuing the war or reaching an agreement with Russia. Trump has reckoned that it's not worth continuing the war because it would be a waste of money and human lives so the only viable solution is to negotiate with Putin and make some concessions, there is no other way. I don't know how many millions the US sent to Ukraine but I think the US is not in condition to give up more money when a financial crisis is so close.

Besides, Russia has China as an ally so it's not smart at all to have both world powers against the US. Then, Trump is doing right at being friendly with Putin so he can deal with China with no meddling of other countries. Trump is even trying to be friendly with the north korean fatass because North Korea is an ally of China. All in all, Trump doesn't give a fk about Europe because it's very far away to be a problem for him, he just wants to take care of the only danger for the US which is China. Remember that there's been a lot of Chinese influence in the backyard of the US (Latin America) so it's not clever to let China get close to the US.

I think it's underestimated how much leeway America has to screw up and not collapse. The country survived some pretty awful leaders, slavery, the Jim Crow era, Civil War, and basically throwing money in a hole every year. Some things are too big to fail easily.

Europe has nukes. If Europe actually thought Putin was a real threat, they had 8 years to build up their military.

The worry some people have is failed appeasement of Russia in the past.
As well as appeasement encouraging aggression by other countries.

I 'can appreciate Trump trying to play all sides.
I think we 'should be careful about how we support Ukraine, that we do not tax our own strength too much.

Europe 'is far away, but I also think the modern age has shrunk distances.
. . .

I think Europe could drive Russia back and force a peace easily enough,
I 'think countries wouldn't use nukes except as last threat to force a peace,
But I would fear a widening of the war, WW3 wouldn't 'necessarily mean nukes, be bad nonetheless.

Vance saying again and 'again how Zelensky should be 'thinking Trump,
Zelensky refusing to do that is not telling Trump to fuck off. In my view.

I don't view Trump as America.

"Don't tell us what to feel, you are in no position to dictate to us how to feel" - Trump
The way I took that was as a petty overreaction by Trump,
I think Zelensky is right, America likely 'will feel the effects of The Ukraine Russia War,
Both in sensation and emotion.
