The bible was written during the bronze age (both the old and new testaments). Most of the stories are near word-for-word copies of much older stone age texts.
Most originated with the Sumerian's. Some were bronze age Buddhist writings, and others were Greek writings. Not much is original at all. Just the political spin, the names, and locations.
Jesus is very much a copy of the profit Zoroaster. Many of his sayings, for example; “Love thy enemy” was stolen from much older Buddhist writings. Keep in mind that Buddha allegedly died 500 years before the alleged birth of Jesus.
The flood story of Noah was stolen from the story of Gilgamesh.
The bible, more or less implies some things that are known not to be true. Being that these items are not spelled out exactly, they are interpretations:
The stars are not “hung” only a few thousand miles above the Earth.
The Earth is not flat.
The Earth was not flooded 4000 years ago.
The earth is more than 6000 years old.
Many of the cities mentioned in the new testament either did not exist or where not inhabited at the alleged time of Jesus.
There is no evidence of an Exodus (at least not as many people exited as was claimed).
The list goes on.
Do not allow me to discourage you from being a Christian if you like. Chose whatever religion makes you happy. Just do it informed. If you doubt anything I am saying, just take some collage level classes in religious history, or in theology. All professional theologians know this stuff.

I believe the world would be unjust if you or I were to execute our sense of justice because we are flawed. At times I have been unjust, at times I'm sure you have been unjust. I have wronged other people. The Christian God I believe in has no flaw in Him, hates wrong, and hates evil, but He loves me, and He loves you. An attribute of God, however, is His justness. He can't shake His attributes. So, to fix the wrong I committed, God the Father, sent down God the Son (Jesus) to take the punishment I deserve. The evil I have done, am doing, and will do on earth has been punished. The wrong that isn't atoned for by Jesus' blood, will be punished when the wrongdoer perishes and must spend eternity separated from God and His holiness. In His mercy, He has offered us an escape from ourselves and sin. I look forward to and hope in the day I see my Savior face-to-face. "For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by His blood, to be received by faith. Whoever created this world is either insane either psychopath, and probably a liar too, and since Christian God fits all of those descriptions, one can conclude he is more likely to exist than some God who is actually good.In this world, people get punished for sins of other people. People get punished and rewarded randomly. There is no karma. There is randomness. There is insanity.Think about it, Hitler had a girlfriend while millions of children, who commited nothing as serious and as wrong as Hitler did, died from cancer and lived much shorter life than Hitler.There is no justice. Some are born with disorders they did nothing to deserve, while some do plenty of evil and live a much better life than those who do no evil. Karma is fake news.Karma doesnt exist because those who are victims of evil did nothing to deserve bad things which happen to them. Idk why people appeal to this argument. Before Christianity most of the world was polytheistic. Did that mean the polytheistic gods existed? If reality is whatever the majority of humans decide it is, then boy has reality undergone some fluctuations over the course of history.
