You were persuaded to exercise and you admitted you follow that advice.

That was really my own will. It would happen even if I never was on this site.

They have no problem responding to Trump.
Yep.
Trump made half the country stupid.

Left most of them blathering incoherently.

Well, one has to assume that half the population was already slightly daft.

Obviously you are one of the other half.

Was America ever great?

Britain was great once, but we're never going to regain that status.

America has no history of greatness. All its successes were negotiations in failure.

Good Point, the question becomes, did Trump make half the country crazy. or did he just attract the crazy half of the country to him.

I think it's probably both, he attracted the crazies and then cranked them up to crazy squared.

Obviously you are one of the other half.

You should be grateful to the US, the further into a cesspool America goes, the better we make Britain look.

Yet Japan came back to make better cars and electronic consumer products than America.

AI has evolved from the clarity of traditional rule-based systems—where everything follows explicit, deterministic logic—to the realm of modern neural networks, especially large language models, which operate in a space of probabilities and emergent patterns.

In traditional programming, we could trace every decision through clear logical pathways, like sunlight illuminating every corner. But with modern AI, we've entered something more like the night —where patterns emerge from statistical relationships, where meaning arises from probability distributions across semantic spaces. This transition mirrors many historical shifts in human thought—from Newtonian mechanics to quantum physics, from strict categorisation in early biology to understanding complex ecosystems and evolutionary gradients. Rigid symbols transform into fluid meaning.

The nation-state model might evolve from rigid boundaries and hierarchical structures toward more fluid, nested systems. Governance becomes bioregional as political boundaries become aligned with ecological systems rather than arbitrary lines. Identity is based on multiple overlapping communities rather than single national identities, and power is diffused through network structures rather than centralised in singular authorities. Rules evolve contextually rather than remaining static, reflecting an ecological model of thinking rather than a mechanical one.

Is that why it is called Artificial intelligence.

Intelligence is intelligence.

Inorganic intelligence is just an Alternative.

Things will occur and we will fall into the scheme of things...Which is how it goes.

Which is how it will go.

Well, if you break it down, “artificial” means something made by humans, not natural, and “intelligence” is the ability to think, learn, and make decisions. Put them together, and you get “Artificial Intelligence”: the idea of creating machines or software that can think and learn like humans.

How can humans duplicate intelligence when time has proven humans lack intelligence.

Well, intelligence is as intelligence does.

And the current human ability to exponentially evolve matter into alternative data management systems, is a demonstrable testament to its intellectual capability.

So organic organisms took a while to get this far...But actually they only took as long as they did...Our retrospective impatience is inconsequential.

Though our current inability to comfortably exist beyond this planets protective shields, might suggest where the intellectual future lies.

Of course, intelligence might have no Greater universal significance...Which would imply, that neither does humanity.

Humanity has greater universal significance. The question is does humanity have the required intelligence to defend it.

If humanity does have a greater universal significance, then given our limitations, I would suggest that AI is essential to it's progress.

BEIJING/HONG KONG/SINGAPORE, Feb 25 (Reuters) - DeepSeek is looking to press home its advantage. The Chinese startup triggered a $1 trillion-plus sell-off in global equities markets last month with a cut-price AI reasoning model that outperformed many Western competitors.

Who knows how the future of humanity will pan out in an AI World.

Would AI have the need to be globally competitive like it's human forbears?

Maybe.

The future's a long time though.

And there will eventually be places to go.

Perhaps not for thousands of years...But just think how well evolved AI will be by then.

Do you think that Chinese intellect will be able to keep up?

Chinese have already demonstrated their lead in AI by creating DeekSeek for under 6 million dollars.
Alexandr Wang. Alexandr Wang (Chinese: 汪滔; pinyin: Wāng Tāo; born 1997) is the founder and CEO of Scale AI, a data annotation platform that provides training data for machine learning models. At age 24 in 2021, he became the youngest self-made billionaire in the world at that time.

But the Chinese are able to do things cheaply...Which is all to do with comparative National and sociological evolution.

Nonetheless, intellectual development is a global phenomenon,... It's just that currently, it comes cheaper in China.

But this didn't answer my question.

AI in the hands of the Chinese posed a grave threat to America by taking away the AI advantage America was striving for.

Which is a problem that arises when people split into separate people clubs, and certain clubs assume a superior status.

Us Brits and our empire built upon the industrial revolution became so deluded, for a while.

Of course it would be sensible as a species to all club together.

But we have other distractions to deal with, such as religion, ethnicity, culture and testosterone, to name but four.

Brexit was the best thing to happen to UK. It doesn’t have to deal with, such as religion, ethnicity, culture and testosterone, to name but four.

Thankfully Mr Trump has reunited Europe.

So he has one good point.
