If you think about it, human and environmental nature is predictable.

Yes, Victor, you nailed it here. We can predict the future as much as we know how nature functions.
Humans can somewhat predict the weather because there have been great advances in technology and knowledge about how weather works, this was unthinkable in the past. I mean, weather predictions are far from being perfect but current forecasts are pretty helpful. And we are close to do the same with earthquake prediction techonology.
Likewise, there are some aspects of our nature that are still unknown by our technology but could help us predict the future. Think about the mother that "have a feeling" that her child is in danger eventhoug she's not with him. There are lot of stories about it and you can't say it's bullshit. This is what seers use when they predict the future, according to them they are capable of feeling the "colective energy" and then they can make out what the future holds. It's a nice explanation if you see it carefully.
Remember that our bodies are a sort of technology, it's a biological techonology that we don't know fully well how it works.
