It's great to see that at last scientists are open to new possibilities about extraterrestrial life.

This is good because the more open we are to this possibility the sooner this aliens will show up. It's evident, if aliens see that humanity accept the existence of them they will be more confident to show up.

Why don't we show up there?

Because we cannot get there.

So perhaps they cannot get here.

Perhaps we are the most advanced lifeform in the Universe.

Or perhaps other lifeforms are at a similar stage of evolutionary development as us.

Assuming different is perhaps wishful thinking.

I mean, what good will aliens do? Exterminate us or treat us like we treat cows?

It doesn’t matter. What matters is that we are expanding our knowledge about the universe, and the only way to do that is to open our mind to as many possibilities as we can. We can't rule anything out.

It depends on how evolved they are.

If they are highly evolved as contactees claim, they can share technology that can solve many of our problems.

Imagine that they can cure your pedophilia issue, you can be attracted to women of your age. I mean, its a possibility.

There is a simple cure for pedophilia, such as a bullet to the head. But then again, we cant rule out the possibility that aliens arent "good guys".

Sure, they might be good guys, but there is also a possibility that they will just rob all our resources, because thats what we would do to them if they happen to be inferior.

Yeah, me too.

Contactees are talking about an event that will happen at the end of 2025. According to them this event will expand our conciousness and we will know all the truth. Not sure what they mean but this is what the supposed aliens told them.

To me this event is about the aliens showing up. At any rate, I'm confident that the time is very close.

Yeah, I understand. Shit happens most of the time. It could have been worst, there are people that suffer from more disgusting paraphilias, like zoofilia or people that like sex with dead bodies.

Consider yourself in luck.

Intelligent life in the Universe is only on this planet. There are ~10^25 planets that orbit stars. The probability of intelligent life forming is 1/10^25.
Was this the reason for the cause of the Universe or is it an accident?

I don't know, FLRW. Tell me you. :)

Let's wait until 2026. If nothing happens let's fuck ourselves. Lol.

I don't know how you arrived at this 1/10^25 probability, perhaps we should look at the available data.

1) There are billions and billions of similarly situated planets in the universe
2) Intelligent life occurs on 100% of the ones we have been able to sample.

I'd sure like to see the math you used to arrive at 1/10^25.

I think FLWR is pretty sure intelligent life only exists in the Earth, so that's how he arrived at that number.

That is quite an extrapolation from the data, perhaps he can share the chain of reasoning he used to arrive at that.

Okay, I admit.

I am an alien.

Its just that aliens abandoned me on this planet due to some issues.

Christians also think we are alone in this universe, that we are unique, a special creation of "God".

Maybe you're a covert Christian. Lol

I think most scientists are already open to the possibility and in fact inevitability of, alien life existing, but most are sceptical if, we can be noticed by an alien life.

Oh yeah kinda like how humans never visit the bottom of the ocean because life there doesn't know we exist.

Murphy says, that on the way home from the pub, he met a Leprechaun.
Or is it spelled  laserchau, Zed

..." July marked a significant milestone in optical SETI research, as the SETI Institute team installed two new LaserSETI stations in Sedona, AZ. This installation brings the number of active LaserSETI observatories to three, enhancing our ability to scan the entire sky and monitor for extrasolar laser pulses continuously. LaserSETI stations need to be strategically placed around the globe to achieve this goal. "...

..." LaserSETI installations in California and Hawai’i collectively observe 18.5% of the sky. With the new observatory in Sedona, this coverage will increase to an impressive 31.4%. This expansion is a critical step towards achieving global coverage, enabling constant monitoring of the sky for technosignatures. "...
