I really dont get it.

Videos of murders and shootings, car accidents, bullying, beating, use of force...ect. are all legal and spread throughout the internet, despite actions in those videos being harmful for people in those videos.

So whats exactly the point of making child porn illegal?

When it comes to regular porn, people who watch regular porn are less likely to seek a sexual partner, or at least so it is believed due to rise in the percentage of virgin men which came at a similar time when porn became very easily available on the internet.

Do you mean from an accepting pedophilia position, why would it be illegal?

The vast majority of what may be considered CP is a record of the live abuse of a child. Understandably it would be distressing for survivors to learn, years later, that not only does such a record exist but the public is gleefully reliving their trauma and spanking off to it. Consider that distributing so-called revenge porn is illegal, and that this is far worse than that.

But what about simulated CP? The principle objection here is that viewing CP whets the appetite of pedophiles, making it more likely that they'll go after real children even if it serves as an outlet in the short term.

In the aggregate this may or may not be true, so I would add something else to this: that porn has the capacity to "confuse" some viewers.
I once came across an anecdote on the internet from a mother who invited people over to her house. Her roughly 2 year old daughter, who hadn't been potty trained, walked around shirtless in a diaper. One of the male guests, dead serious, asked her if said 2 year old daughter was coming on to him sexually, which was the impression she gave him just from existing in a shirtless state. The mother was understandably freaked out by this guest and never invited him over again.

This guest would've been open to the prospect of molesting a 2 year old, because he was willing to believe that a 2 year old "wanted it" or even had the capacity to "ask for it". He was different from the kind of sexual predator who was perfectly aware of the morality of his actions and just didn't care, which begs the question: how could a grown man of reasonable intelligence come to believe what this man did? The answer that makes the most sense is: he watched CP where the child appeared to enjoy it, and applied this supposed insight to his dealings with children and babies around him.

Why is child porn illegal.

Because that is the current law relative to a general consensus, relative to ongoing penis vagina angst.

I expect that if it wasn't illegal, more people would be at it with youngsters, just like the always used to be, not so very long ago.

I suppose it sort of comes under the general heading of social progress...A bit like war and genocide.

People are upset by many things. It doesnt really follow that whatever upsets people should be illegal simply because it upsets people.

But what about simulated CP? The principle objection here is that viewing CP whets the appetite of pedophiles, making it more likely that they'll go after real children even if it serves as an outlet in the short term.
Whats the proof for that?

By this logic, you should ban children from going to the beach.
But again, if your argument is that child porn turns people into pedophiles, thats obviously false, as much as gay porn doesnt turn people gay.
But if your argument is that pedophiles are more likely to offend if they watch child porn, what possible statistic do you have to support that?

This guest would've been open to the prospect of molesting a 2 year old, because he was willing to believe that a 2 year old "wanted it" or even had the capacity to "ask for it". Thats a story, not any kind of valid statistic. Its quite possible that even if person didnt watch child porn, that he would get same idea due to sexual attraction he has. In fact, some countries which banned all porn and dont even have internet to watch cp still have lots of child marriages. Afghanistan, for example.

I mean, what are the reasons to make it illegal. You can present some reasons.

Thats an assumption. If child porn was legal, but sex with children illegal, then less people would risk to go for illegal option instead of legal one.

Though it later occurred to me that for child porn to be legal, then sex with children would also need to be legal.

If that's what you believe, then never listen to Nirvana again (they used child porn in an album):

(Nevermind album).  I'm not going to post the link, but just look it up.

Well, then that would be child rape.

Animated child porn is a more pragmatic solution that I believe would reduce the rape rate of children.

In order to produce child porn, a child must be raped and have their mentality destroyed at a young age, so it’s a package deal.

That doesnt mean child porn needs to be illegal.

Child rape can be illegal, while those who just watch child porn without doing child rape can be left alone.

I dont see whats so difficult to understand about this.

In order for Angela White (porn star) to make porn, she has to have sex.

In order for child porn to be made, a child has to have sex.  All child sex is child rape as kids are too young to consent (this is why we don’t let them sign important contracts).  Like a 10 year old can’t buy a house even if they have the money.

Simply not holding a pro pedophilia position causes illegal policies to exist around children and sexuality.

Sorry, are you trolling?

There are videos of murders and shootings on the internet, there are videos of car homicides, people driving cars into crowds...ect.

Those videos are legal.

That’s different.  It’s not like the police told some people, “Hey; you know what would be a good idea?  How about we film you doing an act where you murder other people (in real life, not a pretend movie) for other people’s entertainment?”  That’s different than a homicide being recorded.

Not by your logic.

Your logic:

"Video of a crime is also a crime, because video of a crime cannot exist without a crime".

So either all those videos on YouTube of car accidents and speeding, and car homicides, need to be taken down and their posters and viewers arrested, either your logic is wrong.

But of course, you engage in moving the goalpost because you cant defend your inconsistent logic.

My logic is:

"Video of a crime that you planned to commit for the enjoyment of others is also a crime, because video of a crime cannot exist without a crime".
If you film yourself murdering Person A without their consent and some other people pay you to murder person A because they find enjoyment in watching Person A get murdered, then I would also give your clients a murder charge.  That’s different than NBC filming a mass shooting or using footage from it.

Some people enjoy watching speeding videos on YouTube, so again your logic doesnt work.

You are obviously just looking for excuses, and arent making any sense anymore.

some other people pay you to murder person A
So if child porn is not payed for by viewer, then its not a crime for that viewer?

But there is a difference between speeding and raping a child (speed limits should be increased).

You are obviously just looking for excuses, and arent making any sense anymore.
I don't want people having sex with infants since infants can't consent.

So if child porn is not payed for by viewer, then its not a crime for that viewer?
It still probably should be because the consumer is the reason the product gets produced.

Although after thinking about it, if I banned chocolate because of the child slavery associated with it, you would help kids out more than banning child porn.

So I hate to bite the bullet, but it makes sense to at least legalize consuming child porn just like consuming chocolate made with child slavery, but producing both should be illegal.  Make the producers only obtain it from aware and consenting sources.  You can't expect the consumer to filter out their consuming choices.

Again, moving the goalpost.

Your original logic didnt include any difference between them.

But there is a difference between person who watches child porn and person who rapes a child, so whats your point here?

It still probably should be because the consumer is the reason the product gets produced.
Same applies to every other video of a crime posted on the internet.

But if producer of child porn was arrested, but his videos were available for free on the internet, there wouldnt be any "pay" to anyone for watching it, so what would your argument even be then?

Probably to treat the consumers of child porn like the consumers of chocolate milk.

The FBI has the largest database of child porn in the world. I was wondering if they let pedos spank off to videos with unidentified victims, if that would solve some more cases.

This is really sick. You're practically begging for more material to satisfy yourself.

Child porn is ilegal and criminal, I think I don’t need to elaborate on it. It's like to try to make the homocide legal. How can you make a murder legal?

Ffs, dont do that ever again. Please.
