1st place: Mafia/ Third Party 1 and 2 (Whiteflame, Earth, Moozer, savant)
2nd place: Town (Joebob, Casey_Risk, austin, barney, iLikePie5)




Endgame Thoughts:

So obviously mafia did amazing! That said, they did have a lot of challenges in this game. First off, I didn’t realize how OP the strategy of forcing people into claiming games would be in dp1. In hindsight, it seems an obvious strategy, but it really forced earth and whiteflame into a subset of roles that were very easily potentially counter claimable, instead of a theme that should have granted them TONS of options to claim. So props to pie for forcing that.

First major twist is pie’s role. He was actually a seer, and he was my role from drafterman’s paranoia game. The only reason this role would have worked in this game, is because drafterman never posted an endgame thread with roles and mechanics in that game, and my role’s full function was never really fully described in the endgame thread, so only I and drafterman had evidence of that actual role’s existence outside of just contextual evidence. Otherwise this role would be impossible to use, because upon mafia losing, they could just look the role up, and see that it would flip vanilla and know that it was pie. 

On that note, pie played the role very well, way better than I did. Even mafia had props for pie in the discord, and they were sure he was a major power role (specifically cop or doctor). Pie did a great job of getting information to work itself out so that scum were in POE, without ever making it looked forced or based on behavioral reasons. If pie had survived, I think this game would have turned out differently, and whiteflame and earth were smart to kill him early.

The last twist was that there was two third parties. Both ended up winning. Nice job!!!!

This does answer a lot of my questions about Savant's role tho. Nothing he said quite matched up with his doctor claim.

I suspected Moozer of being a third party role, but I'm too used to TOS where executioners can only have town players as their target. I figured it worked the same way here, though I probably shouldn't have.

By the endgame Moozer had an easy path to victory by just offering an alliance with the scum, and idk why he didn't do that. He would have lost if I hadn't unvoted so quickly.

I was wrong actually, savant technically did win too. You getting lynched would have got you a second point.

I thought protection only extends into the following day if I successfully protect at night. I would have won if I'd gotten lynched day 2, but I wasn't attacked the last night.

You know I am a little confused by that, now that I am re reading the role, I am not sure. I assumed that your protection applied to night and day, but your role does say ", if you successfully protect someone in the night this protection extends into the day".

But fuck it. I am the mod, I understood your role to work that way so I'll give you the win here lol

I think my biggest mistake was not pushing hard enough on Savant DP1, so I had to overcompensate later in the game. I was so sure I was screwed. The choice was survive, and have Savant survive too, or go after him and probably get lynched in the process, but with that route, I at least had a slim chance.

Also, regarding my claim, I know I fucked it up. Two reasons for that.

One, Earth has already claimed Lucy Heartfilia. Was planning to claim Dreamer, but realized too late that we overlapped our characters, so I went for the far more sus claim.

Two, I realized too late that there was no Cop. There were enough clues early in DP2 for me to recognize it, but I put the pieces together too late to fake that claim.

You chose your targets perfectly for our purposes, that was just luck. You honestly picked well, just so happened that we used our roles to throw you off at the right times.

My other mistake was claiming to not have been roleblocked before I saw Earth’s JK, but it worked itself out anyways.
