Its mostly because he said that we should lynch him if he doesnt confirm himself.

So he is not a lynch this dp.

But looks like nobody is. I doubt Luna will come online in next 20 minutes, so yeah, its a no lynch. Maybe its for the better. If you are trully a bodyguard, we should both protect Earth, and Austin should also protect Earth so Earth cant get role blocked. Other than that, I dont see what our play could be.

This likely puts us at 6 - 2, so we only have 2 lynches left. Its bad for us, but yeah, we misplayed here badly.

Cop investigation might make up for this, but it will mean we have to make sure cop can investigate, which will take some effort and combined power of protective roles.

I'd prefer not to follow a written set of instructions from this DP that scum can manipulate (nor should you or Earth, for that matter), but I will decide how I'm going to use my role to the best of my ability.

Well, this was certainly one long DP1 to end in absolutely no lynch. So yeah, I'd say we misplayed here. I think the main issue was that we were relying on Luna to make the final decision, and Luna was relying on us to coalesce around a single lynch, which we never did. For what it's worth, I don't think Chris is scum, so it might be for the best since that was the only option that enough people were considering to get a lynch.

At least we're in agreement in that regard. Their claim and behavior doesn't really square up with newbie scum for me.
