I dont buy that its something Joebob would come up with on its own. I reckon that, yeah, hes basically a vanilla until he dies, but I assume the intent Austin had was to not have him out his role. Not a well crafted role if I may say so.
-->
@whiteflame
So, again, is Austin just going to post that list publicly if/when you die (i.e. at the start of the DP after you are killed)?
Yes, that’s what “everyone can see the results” means.
-->
@whiteflame
Sincerely, if this is a fake claim scum came up with, it's one of the oddest choices I've ever seen because you are basically forcing us to consider you as our lynch in any future DP just to get some additional information
so then don’t vote me until a future DP when I am more useful and you can’t lynch anyone else. Voting me now makes no sense.
-->
@ILikePie5
I’d be willing to bet scum are half telling the truth about the mechanics after death. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the scum tracker or has a role where he can see who (via proxy of notation) visited who every night. The odds of mislynching are 7/9 which is around 78%. Assuming we mislynch there’s a 1/8 (12.5%) chance that Joe correctly tracks the NK. For a 12.5% chance we have to lynch a townie? It doesn’t make mathematical sense?
It's not so much whether it makes mathematical sense based on what we know, but I see your point. The way the role has been framed is, at best, a weak positive utility to town (i.e. even if he tracks the right person, we would then have to recontextualize what happened two NPs ago to make use of it), so while I'm tempted to give him the opportunity to use the role, I don't think the information is worth the cost of either no lynching or lynching someone else at this stage. I want to give it some more thought before I make a decision after work.

So his scum partner could come up with it. But the role doesn’t make sense anyways. Just from a balance perspective, what’s the point of only revealing information after death? Theoretically it’s so mafia unknowingly kill him and that reveals results, but if that’s the case, it’s anti town to even reveal that mechanic.

Yes, that’s what “everyone can see the results” means.
What’s the justification for why you are a tracker?

Okay, who do you want to lynch and why?

I'm not assuming anything at this point, so best to be as clear as possible.

Here's the problem with this statement: we have no way of currently knowing whether you'll be useful in the future. You have no way to verify yourself unless you die, and the utility of your Tracking when we get results one full day later is weak at best, assuming you even target the right person. That being said, if you have a better choice of target for a lynch, then state it. Who would you pick?

Ok. So algebraic notation is a list of moves, from 1 to whenever the game ends. You don’t see that list until after the game ends, or in this case, I die. During the game the information is useless, same as it is here as I can’t do anything with it, just like here. After the game ends however, you can go back and check what you could’ve done better, and it is suddenly useful. Same with here. After I die, I am suddenly useful.
-->
@whiteflame
Pie is probably town. So not him. Savant is also town in my eyes. Everyone else is null as I haven’t seen enough posts from everyone to tell, and also no one else has claimed either a character or role.

That explains the flipped part, but what about the Tracker part was my question

How fast did he claim his role? I dont know if an experienced player would suggest that as your role.

@Earth

He claimed his role hours after the character
I reread and he claimed his role in about 5 hours.
I wonder if a Mafia!Joebob would AFK if he asked his mafia partner to help him with his fakeclaim.
Where there’s smoke, there’s usually a fire. My vote on JoeBob stands.
Can I vote for no one. like can I vote to not lynch anyone?
-->
@ILikePie5
That explains the flipped part, but what about the Tracker part was my question
Each move set on the list for algebraic is a night that I track someone. So the 1 would be the night, the first set of numbers/letters would be who I tracked, and the second set would be who they tracked/visited that night.
-->
@Moozer325
Yea you just say VTNL

If there was smoke and no fire irl we would have a problem
-->
@Earth
I reread and he claimed his role in about 5 hours.
Yea because that’s how long in between you asked for my role and character.
First you asked for my character and I answered almost instantly, then 5 hours later you ask for character, and I once again answer almost instantly.

@JoeBob
Ok I am the flipped tracker. Every night I can choose someone to track. I can not see who that person visited until I die. Everyone can see the results if/when I die. I am algebraic notation, the moves we use to say what piece went where.When I die, the list will look like this:JoeBob's Notation Sheet // N1: Player A visits Player B // N2: Player C visits no one // N3: no moves notated
So is this shown to the town?
Sorry if you answered above
-->
@Vader
Shown to everyone. The day after Austin posts them for everyone to see.
When JoeBob dies, can we see his notations when he dies in the OP or no? This just seems pretty useless
-->
@JoeBob
Noted.
Ignore 206
-->
@Moozer325
Can I vote for no one. like can I vote to not lynch anyone?
You can but it isn’t optimal to do so. Lynching is towns best tool to run the game on their terms.

So because the algebraic notation keeps track of who visited who, you’re the Tracker. Okay
