No matter your reasons, I wouldn't discourage you from doing these things.

The law of God is even written on the hearts of those who do not know God, and that is what scripture says.

The letter kills, the spirit gives life.

I was run over by the letter B yesterday, but a couple snorts of single malt and I was full of life.

Christian beliefs make no sense at all nowadays

I support several Christian ideas, for example, against abortion, homosexuality, gender ideology, and all this rubbish that will destroy our society
Lol. So, you managed to cling on and support some of the more deplorable beliefs. Well done, Christianity.

I take the view that religious people have empathy and compassion which they mistakenly ascribe to their god.   That mistake causes them to believe that anyone who does not believe in the same god is incapable of good.   It can also result in them believing anything done in the name of their god is automatically good.

The amount of violence done because of those errors since man began is beyond calclation.

Detached from God, these "moral principles" are not really Christian.

The letter kills, the spirit gives life.

I guess you mean with people who are devoted to Christianity those principles are true Christian. Yes, I totally agree, humanity needs this kind of people, zealots that trust in "Christian God's words" and follow their commandments blindly. You know, people are so gullible that I'd really prefer they were Christian rather than Muslims or other potential dangerous religion.

Christianity has and will continue to cause massive damage to humanity or are you saying it's the lesser of the religious evils?

When do you think you came to feel this way? Were you indoctrinated?  Did people professing a christian identity abuse someone you know? Did you read books?  Get frustrated with politicians like Mike Pence or hypocrites more generally?

I don't really believe you understand my faith to make such judgement calls.

I will tell you this, Orthodox do not see morality the same way western philosophy does. Our morality is entirely based around purifying the heart and getting rid of idolatries. It is very God centric. So we have very alien ways of approaching this.

All good things come from God, and though you are confused by the actions of heretics who use the Lord's name in vain, I am not. I know my faith, and evil is the furthest thing from it. We do not kill in the name of God. We do not call crusades. In fact, we suffer the evils of governments who oppress us with no revolt.

God knows what is on your heart, I do not. You say you do not believe my God, but I know that my God is written on the hearts of all. You do not recognize my God. But whether you acknowledge it or not, my God is closer to you than your breathe.

Could you elaborate, please? I mean, if you're capable of doing it. Because as much as we can see, the Western Civilization is still the most advanced culture humans have ever achieved in terms of economics, technology, politics, values, and so on.

Please, elaborate. Make a liitle bit of effort, I know you can do it.

All Christian Morality comes from loving God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. It is the purifying of the heart and ridding oneself of idolatries.

Without this, the morality you claim to be Christian cannot be, it is simply an emulation based more on an arbitrary sense of aesthetics than anything else.

You don't really understand my religion, you just think you do.

But, I agree with you. I mean, you call it different, but at the end the results and emotions are the same anyway. For you is pure love with the mind, soul or whatever it is. To me, which is what anyone can see, this is brain washing.

I insist, this is what I deep down want, zealots that behave like ants working hard to please the queen, well, in this case please the "God".

Although god would be more impressed if you loved him with 98.5% of your heart.

But just do what your heart tells you.

Just Follow your heart .
It does sound good.

But this is la raison d'etre of Christianity. Jesus said it, or I don't know who was, that Christians should please God.

Am I wrong?

Says the guy incapable of thinking. You do realize that only 10% of Christians live in the US, right? Most of the rest live in third world countries.

Seriously dude, try thinking for a change.

I know that my God is written on the hearts of all.
i insist you do not know that - youbelieve it.

I believe what you think of as 'God written on the heart' is empathy and compassion written into our brains, and it was written by evolution, not by any god.

Not everyone has empathy and compassion.

Everyone knows deep down that The Truth exists.

Some people, not all people, naturally love others.

It is better to abide in The Truth than to war against it. Quite naturally.

I'd say almost all of  that progress is the result of abandoming religion and adopting secular rationlism.

This was just a change of regime, people still had the same values and beliefs though. Church lost its power, that is right, but not its influence. So Chrsitianity has remained as a moral and ethical asset for Western Civilization, which was an important motivation to progress.

I would read about protestantism and how it influenced the United States.

I'd say that "secular rationalism" is going to be the very downfall of western society.

Secular rationalism quite naturally came out of protestantism, which quite naturally came out of scholasticism, which quite naturally came out of the excommunicated Roman Catholic Church.

Blessed are the pure in heart, they will see God. The Scholastics mistakenly believed that you find God through being a know it all smarty pants. It doesn't matter how educated and smart you are, if your heart is polluted by idolatries you put before The Truth, your intellect will be skewed.

A so called "advanced" society that lacks real spirituality will destroy itself and screw a great deal up around it before it does.

Sure, humans evolved, going from ignorant to knowledgeable, deluded to rational, believing to understanding, etc. Some though, have decided, evidently, to remain in the dark ages.

I did elaborate, showing how you were incapable of thinking when you offered nonsense instead of fact.

Really? Let me see, you said 10% of Christians are in the US. So what? What did this piece of information show? You would have explained at least what you wanted to say because this data doesn't say that much.

Or are you trying to say that in developed countries people are not Christian? Let's see, almost 75% of Europeans are Christians, which is a fact. Isn't it at odds with what you have said?

You're either a troll or you have serious problems with reading comprehension.
