I looked up the list of Japanese emperors, and it seems that the list on wiki is quite long.

they both didn't have good longevity genes as they were from bloodlines that specialised in fighting, not surviving, and also they often backstabbed each other via assassinations or basically changing Emperor for the sake of it.
