“Colorado’s top court concluded in December that the attack was an insurrection
They do not have the authority to make such a declaration. None. Especially in light of the FACT that the F.B.I. declared that there was NO evidence to substantiate J6 as a so-called "insurrection." Stop calling J6 an Insurrection.

that Trump is an insurrectionist
Since J6 was NOT an insurrection, Trump is NOT an insurrectionist.
He was even tried via the House and acquitted of 'inciting an insurrection.'
Again, NO insurrection.

who is barred by the Constitution from serving as president again. The Colorado justices ruled he could not appear on the state’s primary ballot but put their decision on hold while Trump pursued an appeal“
That's not how the 14th Sec. 3 works. There is no specific mention of the Office either the President OR Vice President. Those justices are ignorant of Constitutional Law and how to read/interpret it.

Trump was charged with insurrection in his second impeachment. A jury of biased Republicans, who decided to acquit
At least you can admit he was acquitted. So, this is a none issue then.

Mitch McConnell then stated that Trump should be charged for his crime once he was out of office.
He is not an authority on anything and his subjective opinion carries no legal weight, or political weight for that matter.

insurrection as it was understood in the 1860s was “any public use of force or a threat of force by a group of people to hinder the execution of the law.”
Not how it works, buddy. You may think of yourself of as a pseudo constitutional law scholar, but you know nothing about the Constitution. I mean really, 'public use of force'? LOL!!! You really need to do some legislative historical research on that amendment, learn the legal definitions and not a layman's understanding of the term.

“It was never considered an element of Section 3 that you need a criminal conviction,” he said, noting that after the Civil War many former Confederates were disqualified from office even though they had not been charged with insurrection or treason”
No shit, but a legitimate law-based organization/agency needs to have emphatically declared J6 as an insurrection. None have. The courts do not have the authority to do that. Courts do not file charges, law agencies do. Cops. DA's. DOJ. FBI. Etc. And since none have, J6 was NOT and never will be an 'insurrection.'

There is no excuse for this misinformation. Anyone can watch trumps speech where he calls for peaceful protest. If you stopped just blindly listening to what CNN told you trump said and instead just listen for yourself you would see he said to go peacefully. Not only did he say to stay peaceful in his speech he tweeted it out to his supporters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BlXZNL2RoA
DITTO!!!!!

What's so funny is that the Senate was unable to convict Trump before all the footage came out showing Jan 6 as very likely being a deep state setup as people were waved into the capitol by an undetermined number of Federal provocateurs in the crowd.(see Whitmer plot) Things only got very bad when the DC police were ordered to open fire into the crowd with tear gas, followed by baton beatings.

The Senators didn't know any of this, and yet, Trump still was not convicted.

BINGO!!!

You’re a wack job

They didn’t convict Trump because they wanted to protect their political prospects with the MAGA MORONS

So he was impeached for insurrection. He was “charged” but then the gutless wonders who are the Republican Party tried to protect their political careers by claiming Trump couldn’t be convicted on a technicality- he was already out of office.

“Voters and lawyers laid the groundwork for the legal challenge to Trump two years ago, when they filed a lawsuit that resulted in the removal of a county commissioner in New Mexico because of his role in the Jan. 6 attack. The theory gained currency in August with the publication of a draft of a law review article by two conservative law professors, William Baude of the University of Chicago and Michael Stokes Paulsen of the University of St. Thomas”

Gerard Magliocca, an Indiana University law professor who served as an expert witness for those challenging Trump’s candidacy, said during testimony in the Colorado case that insurrection as it was understood in the 1860s was “any public use of force or a threat of force by a group of people to hinder the execution of the law.”

“During Reconstruction, ‘engage in insurrection’ was understood broadly to include any voluntary act in furtherance of an insurrection against the Constitution, including words of incitement,”

“Officials at the time interpreted Section 3 expansively and, even before it was adopted, often considered remote links to insurrection to be disqualifying, he said. Congress in one case declined to seat a representative-elect from Kentucky because he had written a letter-to-the-editor early in the Civil War advocating violence against Union soldiers if they entered his state”

What if he is unemployed and only works occasionally as a substitute teacher?

No, IWRA is correct, it is impossible for Trump to be President in 2024.

As the Twentieth Amendment states, “the terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January … and the terms of their successors shall then begin.”  That would be January 20th, 2025.

Please post a video of you falling to your knees screaming "I'M SUCH A DUMB ASS!!!!!"

A “state’s legitimate interest in protecting the integrity and practical functioning of the political process permits it to exclude from the ballot candidates who are constitutionally prohibited from assuming office,”  - Appeals Court Judge Neil Gorsuch

Uh oh, Looks like one SCJ has already affirmed that states can block candidates who aren’t qualified under the Constitution

Trump thinks, and has said, that having pets is “low class.” At one point he expressed disappointment that Pence has pets.
