Original Trilogy Vs Prequels (Star Wars)

I accepted the debate as the die representing the original trilogy, Pro sho started the debate would argue on behalf of the prequel trilogy

I'll keep arguments brief since there's a decent chance the entire debate gets forfeited anyways

For those who consider the opinions of professional movie critics as important, there is a clear consensus about which trilogy they believe is superior. Below is a list of the OT and PT movies, along with their IMDb + Rotten Tomatoes + Metacritic scores 

OT = A New Hope = 8.7/10..... 93/100...... 90/100 

OT = Empire Strikes Back = 8.8/10..... 95/100..... 82/100

PT = The Phantom Menace = 6.5/10..... 55/100..... 51/100

So in terms of critical reception + approval, The Original Trilogy as a whole performed 2 full letter grades better than the Prequel Trilogy. 

In these metrics, the Original Trilogy is noticeably superior to the Prequel Trilogy

This metric is a little harder to quantify, but by examining the movie-goer reviews of the Star Wars movies, we can see that fans of the Star Wars franchise liked the Original Trilogy of movies far more than the Prequel Trilogy of movies

While movie critics consider the Original Trilogy about 2 letter grades better than the Prequel Trilogy, regular moviegoers who are fans of the franchise consider the Original Trilogy 3.5 letter grades better than the Prequel Trilogy.... The original trilogy was enjoyed by damn near EVERY PERSON who watched the movies in theaters, whereas the prequel trilogy AT BEST only had just over half of audiences enjoy the films. 

Based on the opinions of professional movie critics and general audiences alike, the Original Trilogy of Star Wars movies are unquestionably superior to the Prequel Trilogy of the same franchise.
