Description

This debate is about the subjectivity of life experiences. Pro takes the stance that life is subjective and therefore there is no right or wrong way to live, while Con takes the stance that life is not subjective and that there is a way of life to live that is right. Burden of proof is on both sides.

Where exactly is the contradiction?
Logically contradictions have to be demonstrated on the level of predication/ definition.
I just ask because I don't see that anywhere in the argument you demonstrate the contradiction and I want to know why you that.

Our disagreement isn't about the definitions of objectivity and subjectivity, but about how they are applied. You appear to think subjectivity and objectivity can coexist, while I maintain they are mutually exclusive. For instance, you claimed some moral aspects are subjective while others are objective. I fundamentally disagree, as this appears to violate the law of non-contradiction by suggesting something can be simultaneously subjective and objective. For example, 1+1 always equals 2; this is an objective fact. In contrast, thinking it's morally wrong to steal cookies from the cookie jar is a subjective moral opinion.

After reading through this argument again, it seems we have different ideas of what "objective" and "subjective" mean.
What do you mean by those exactly?

@MAV99

in terms of morality and life experience , yes.

Are you, as Pro arguing that life is 100 percent subjective? Not a mix of subjective and objective elements?

No sense in debating opinions.

Well, sure, but I aint accepting whatever nonsense others do just because its subjective. If everything is valid, then my rejection is valid too.
