Description
Time travel: sending a person or thing from this time to the past.
Round 1
Thanks for participating.
I'm going to start with a simple little statement of why I think it is impossible.
If you travelled back, any little thing you did would probably change things, and then through the butterfly effect that would spread, thus changing you present. But, you only would have went to the past or acted the way you did because of how your present was. And thus by changing what your present is like you wouldn't have done the thing that made the changes in the exact same way.
And thus any time travel is a paradox.

Well, we dont know if it is possible as our knowledge is limited, which is why it is possible.
In other words, that fallacy is about events, this is about concepts, and I dont really want or expect this to discuss events, because I mainly want a hypothetical debate about the concepts
After reading the wikipedia link you sent, I have decided to clarify that this is if time travel is possible, not if it has happened. Thus I think the chance of that being a problem is lower?
I wrote it because I’ve seen it happen to too many times. Multiple of the examples were not hypothetical, but rather straight from things I’ve seen in the last year. There’s a Reptilian Heuristic page which has another personal account of that fallacy.
Lol. I know about Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc, but is there an example of someone using Retro Hoc? Or did you write the article because someone is going to use that fallacy in the future?
Reminds me of this fallacy:

That said, it’s a fun hypothetical
