Round 1
Okay I will introduce 2 arguments and we can touch upon any one you prefer. These arguments aren’t anything complex, but I believe they are common sense.
Argument 1: Character
The first problem is political division. He has caused the biggest division in our country in decades and possibly even centuries, all because he wanted to undermine our democracy and try to deny the outcomes of the 2020 election. It was clearly proven in the lawsuits his administration filed that he had NO sufficient evidence as to how the election was stolen. He has also been held civilly liable for SA, said he’d date a little girl in 10 years, and has been called out by the DOJ for not renting to blacks.
Argument 2: Economic Plan
In his first administration he added an estimated $7.8 trillion to the nation deficit, introduced a tax plan disproportionately benefiting the rich, and even added $100 billion to our trade deficit. The retaliatory tariffs he wants to implement now will burden average Americans.
While I see sense in your arguments and even though I admit Trump isn’t one of the best presidents. I strongly hold the view that Trump is not one of the worst. He has done multiple useful things for this country.
Firstly, he has forced NATO countries to pay their share. It is written in the NATO constitution that countries are supposed to spend 2% of their GDP on military spending; however, before Trump, with the exception of a small handful of countries, almost none of the NATO countries reached this 2% spending target. After which he became president, he brought light to this issue, which was unfavourable to the US, and corrected it.

Second, he has pulled money out of foreign aid. This means the government has more money to spend on the national debt, poverty reduction, etc. Combined with Doge, who has already saved 105 billion dollars, it is sure to ensure that the money that we taxpayers pay to the US is put into the country instead of being spent on other countries.
Round 2
Forfeited
On your point of Character. While it is true that Trump may say some outrageous things sometimes he has rarely acted upon them. Such as leaving NATO which is nothing more then a barigang chip or increasing Defense spending to 5% or his push for 50% tariffs on China all these are promises he has made in his presidency and campaign run and have never happened.
On your point of division of American people. It is true that he has sparked political divide however this is not entirely to his blame. There were already natural political divides between people . Furthermore The democracts aren’t exactly blameless. They didn’t clap for a 13 year old who fought off cancer and was made an honorary police officers which was his dream just because Trump was the one who did it.
In Conclusion, was Trump one of the best presidents? Definitely not but was he one of the worst? No.

A statement like that should probably be qualified in the description. Like ranked within the bottom five.
Interesting debate, you might want to add some specifications. For instance, saying how bad he is compared to other presidents. It would be pretty hard to argue he was the worst, but if you say he was in the bottom five, that’s a little more possible.
