Description

Here are some ground rules:

Marxist economic theory will be defined as the system that Karl Marx developed, which claims, among other things, that items only gain value from the labor put into them, workers and laborers matter much more than anyone else in an economy, bosses and corporate executives exist only to profit and mistreat their employees, and that all property, means of production, and means of distribution, should be owned by the state (centrally planned economy).

Pro will believe that Marxist economic theory does not work as the governing economic theory of a nation.

Con will believe that Marxist economic theory does work as the governing economic theory of a nation.

The debate will not be about semantics or arguing over what words mean, but will instead be over whether or not Marxist economic theory, as defined earlier, would work as a nation’s governing economic theory.

Profanity or personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Only accept the debate challenge if you’re going to participate.
