This creates an environment where misinformation spreads like wildfire, and the platforms profit from the increased traffic and ad revenue it generates.
Furthermore, the scale and speed at which information travels on social media are unprecedented. A single misleading post can reach millions of people in a matter of hours, something that was impossible in traditional media. With such power comes responsibility.
